Have you seen the news on the deadly fungal infections sweeping the world? Google it! I put some study into combatting this. The lack of copper will result in fungal infection. Cheapest & easiest solution. Take 1-2 water pitchers & add 5- .99 copper fittings to each. Allow copper to absorb into water. Drink, give to pets, put in bottles to spray on skin. Get some extra copper for outdoor animals water, chickens, goats, plants, etc. Water pipes were copper, so do not be afraid of it. PVC was introduced as a cheaper option but it molds & maybe linked to this issue IMO. Wash fittings with soap, rinse & fill pitchers with purified water. Refill & use as needed.
