Our student volunteer, Ben Medley, teaches an SRI University course on The Cuban Missile Crisis: A Close Call, to our Memory Care Residents. Continuing education for our residents and students who volunteer for school credit hours. Thank you, Ben for being a dedicated volunteer for our Summer Vista Assisted Living Community.

Come witness the talents of our staff, residents, and partners as they battle to become Summer Vista's First Annual Talent Show King or Queen. We're excited as we already have contestants lined up. Reminder: The Pensacola Ice Flyers, Ice Hockey Team, will be at our community on Monday, Nov 17, 2025 to help with Holiday decorating. All family members who wish to bring in a Christmas Tree for their love ones, please have them in our community by Monday morning 9:00 a.m. The Ice Flyers will put up their Christmas tree for you. This is a 1 day event, so email Courtney.Benestante@Summervista.com or Michelle.french@summervista.com with their room number and we'll be happy to assist them. Happy Holidays to everyone!

We are honored to be a part of the Healthcare Professionals Association of North West Florida - HPANWF Veterans Day Fashion Show with dresses sponsored by Nixon Boutique. Our models walked down the runway with Marine Staff Sergeant Timothy Chandler and Marine Lieutenant Colonel Alan Sauders. All proceeds benefitted Seniors and those with disabilities. Delicious appetizers were provided by Fancy Foodies and jewelry by Gail Carter Paparazzi. Special thank you to Marquise Tamayo for including us in this special event. To our Hairdresser, Tracey, thank you for helping our ladies feel and look beautiful.

Thank you, Evan Hillman, Vitas Hospice for sponsering our 2025 Veteran's Luncheon with Guest Speaker, Alan Sanders, LT.COL.Retired. It has always been an honor to celebrate this day in honor of the Men and Women who served our country. Each with their unique stories of Dedication, Sacrifices, and Bravery for what we call The United States of America. Thank you, LeAnna Sanders for our prayer, Will Briones and Holly Stewart, Home Helpers for stepping in at the last minute to sing our National Anthem, Sukena Gilmore for the beautiful speach, and Tammy Howle, Activity Assistant for putting together a wonderful program. Last but not least, Ben and Chrissy Medley for volunteering. Happy Veteran's Day to all!

With the holidays approaching, scammers are on the rise. Senior Communities are vulnerable and we're preparing to protect our seniors. Yesterday, Gulf Winds Credit Union educated our community on Fraud Awareness. Residents were able to learn how to protect themselves and who to contact if they suspect they have been scammed.
