The Center for Compassionate Care

The Center for Compassionate Care Therapist for better over-all well being and mental health. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Masters level Certified Addiction Professional. Be Well!

I started a private practice business in a medical office about 6 years ago, which is unique for our area. In the Pensacola and surrounding area, there are no other offices that have combined physical health and mental health. This approach lends itself to a holistic, systems approach. Simply put, we treat the WHOLE person in one location. We know that individual’s health is directly linked to wha

t they think and how they feel and with the right support and guidance people can successfully help themselves feel better physically, mentally and emotionally. I created this page so that I could spread the word about this good work that we are doing and to have a platform in which I could impart useful and practical information to as many people as possible. I want people to become their true selves, gaining freedom from guilt, shame, paralyzing grief, feelings of inadequacy, and resistance to change. Of course I can help with depression, anxiety, addiction and many other mental health concerns. But also for those that are experiencing a difficult time coping with life changes, such as, a divorce, a death or loss, a new career, relationship issues, a geographical move, illness or other life circumstances that leave you feeling and acting in ways that are not reflective of your true self. Thank you for stopping by!

My Story

In 2014, I joined a thriving medical practice with Dr. Alicia Chen, a doctor of internal medicine. I started a private practice counseling business in a medical office, which is unique for our area. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Masters Level Certified Addiction Professional. As a Social Worker, my approach follows the core values of Social Work and lends itself to a holistic, systems approach. Simply put, my focus is the WHOLE person in their particular environment. Individual’s health is directly linked to what they think and how they feel and with the right support and guidance people can successfully help themselves feel better physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

January 6, 2020 I opened my own private practice called The Center for Compassionate Care, LLC. I am excited about the growing success of my business and I am looking forward to sharing it with you! I work closely with local agencies that support and care for those in the LGBTQIA+ community. We share a collaborative commitment to create an environment that is both q***r affirming and that remains culturally humble. We want to increase access to expert, affirming, and safe care for q***r and gender expansive adults aged 18- 100.

I created this page so that I could spread the word about good work that we are doing and to have a platform in which I could impart useful and practical information to as many people as possible. I want people to become their true selves, gaining freedom from guilt, shame, paralyzing grief, feelings of inadequacy, and resistance to change. We can also work together on your symptoms of depression, anxiety, addiction and many other mental health concerns. In addition, I am particularly interested in helping those that are experiencing a difficult time coping with life changes, such as a divorce, a death or loss, a new career, relationship issues, parenting struggles, a geographical move, illness or other life circumstances that leave you feeling and acting in ways that are not reflective of your true self. So, if you think therapy might be right for you or if you’d like to rid yourself of some thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve you, then please give me a call. If you are not sure, which is most people, then schedule an appointment and we can talk it out. You are under no obligation to come back. Give yourself a chance, you deserve to be happy! Thank you for stopping by! Be Well!
