🐣🌸 Easter morning brought a special blessing to Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola.

Welcome, Nova-Lee, our first Easter newborn. She arrived at 1:12 a.m., weighing 6 lbs., 8.8 oz. and measuring 19.48 inches long.
Our dedicated women’s, newborn and NICU care teams are honored to care for families with compassion and expertise during life’s most delicate moments.

⚾ A special visit for one of our own ballplayers ⚾

We had an unforgettable moment this week when the University of West Florida baseball team stopped by to visit our patient, Robert A. As a fellow baseball player, Robert has been missing the game he loves while in the hospital. So our hospital team found a way to bring the spirit of baseball to his bedside.

The players gifted him a signed baseball bat and surprised him and his family with tickets to a future game, giving them something exciting to look forward to as he continues to heal.

As a not-for-profit organization, Ascension Sacred Heart is grateful for the generosity of supporters and for the partnership of the Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation, which helps support children and families receiving care across Northwest Florida and lower Alabama.

NICU Campers, grab your s’mores, we are campfire excited for our 2026 Studer Family Children’s Hospital Annual NICU Reunion.

Join us for a Camp NICU celebration with fun crafts and activities for our happy campers. We cannot wait to celebrate the journey of our tiny miracles alongside their families and the caregivers who were there from the start.

We are collecting “Then and Now” photos to create a special display in Studer Family Children’s Hospital, along the hallway that connects Labor and Delivery to the NICU. If you are willing, please submit:
One photo from your baby’s NICU stay (“Then”)
One recent photo (“Now”)
The photos will be displayed to inspire hope for families currently walking a NICU journey. 💛

👉 Future babysitters, this one’s for you! New baby brother, sister or cousin this holiday season? Learn the skills and build confidence.

Safe Sitter® at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola is a fun, hands-on safety program for students ages 11 to 15. Based on a nationally recognized curriculum, the course covers key topics such as infant and child CPR, injury management, child care basics, behavior guidance, personal safety, and babysitting as a business. Through role-playing, small-group discussions, games, and hands-on practice, students build real-life readiness and confidence to safely care for younger children.

Safety skills: Learn how to prevent unsafe situations and respond to emergencies like power outages or severe weather.

Child care skills: Learn behavior management tips, ages and stages of child development, and basic care skills like diapering.

First aid and rescue skills: Learn choking rescue, CPR, and a simple system to assess and respond to injuries and illness.

Business skills: Learn how to discuss fees and greet employers with confidence through role-play scenarios that build real-world skills.

Our Story

As Northwest Florida’s only children’s hospital, the Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart includes a pediatric emergency department, 72-bed neonatal intensive care unit, medical/surgical beds, observation beds, a pediatric imaging department, pharmacy, inpatient rehabilitation gym, child life playrooms, outpatient lab services and a new family-friendly dining venue.
