Future babysitters, this one's for you!. Learn the skills. Build confidence. The Safe Sitter® class at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola is a fun, hands-on safety program designed for students grades 6–8. Based on a nationally recognized curriculum, the course covers essential topics, including infant and child CPR, injury management, childcare basics, behavior guidance, personal safety, and babysitting as a business. Through role-playing, small-group discussions, games, and hands-on practice, students build real-life readiness and the confidence to safely care for younger children.

👶 Fall Safe Sitter classes:
🍼 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
🍼 Community Outreach at 5051 Carpenters Creek Drive in Pensacola.
🍼 Saturday, September 6th
🍼 Saturday, October 4th

Lights in the sky spark wonder in every child, especially for some of our sensory-sensitive kids, the 4th of July festivities look a little different. One of our kids used a visual schedule to enjoy the day, taking breaks when needed. At the same time, another found comfort in watching fireworks through an iPad with noise-canceling headphones. It’s all about creating a safe and fun space where every child can feel at ease.

At Studer Family Children’s Hospital, our kids celebrated in their own special way, with a few amazing care team members making sure they felt included, supported, and had a blast!

Our Story

As Northwest Florida’s only children’s hospital, the Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart includes a pediatric emergency department, 72-bed neonatal intensive care unit, medical/surgical beds, observation beds, a pediatric imaging department, pharmacy, inpatient rehabilitation gym, child life playrooms, outpatient lab services and a new family-friendly dining venue.
