It's ! Today, we’re celebrating Kenithia Brewington, one of Lakeview Center’s devoted CHIPS foster parents, whose journey reflects resilience, compassion and the power of family.

Kenithia has opened her heart—and home—for almost a decade, caring for children facing trauma and displacement. Her bio kids have grown up alongside foster siblings, stepping into roles as big brothers and sisters. "My family is my army," she says, welcoming each child with love, acceptance and a safe space to heal.

Her story reminds us that foster care is more than short-term—it’s a lifetime impact filled with love and transformation. 💙

Lakeview Center’s Community Action Team (CAT) provides intensive, in-home mental health support for youth and families—think of it as a “hospital without walls.” With frequent therapy, case management, therapeutic mentoring and nursing support, CAT helps stabilize youth facing serious behavioral challenges while keeping them connected to their homes, schools, and communities.

Jessica is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving adults in outpatient psychiatry at Lakeview Center’s main campus in downtown Pensacola. She earned both her Master and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Jessica is an active member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association, bringing compassionate, evidence-based care to the clients she serves. Thank you, Jessica!
