Wednesday, we celebrated Ms. Pat’s 70th birthday!!! We had a lovely party at her Group Home with food, presents, and dancing!!

Ms. Pat has lived in our group homes since 2021 and was part of our supported living program for many many years before that!

We’re so happy we could do a big celebration for her for this big milestone birthday!!

Crab Cake Cook-Off, presented by Sims Orthodontics, is an award-winning culinary extravaganza of delectable dishes and live entertainment, with all proceeds helping to create life-changing opportunities for the individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that we serve!! This year's event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22nd at Seville Quarter!!

Fresh green beans straight from the garden!!

Our Arizona Group Home residents are continuing to enjoy the rewards of their hard work as their vegetable garden keeps growing and producing. From planting and watering to harvesting together, experiences like these build confidence, encourage independence, and create meaningful moments each step of the way.

A special thank you once again to Beth Rood for her continued support and encouragement of this project!!!

We asked Vicki Beauchaine to pick a theme song and her answer was actually one of The Arc Gateway Choir's favorites: "Lean on Me!"

Vicki is a new member of the Foundation Board at The Arc Gateway! She is recently retired from being part owner of Vannoy's Tires and in the tire business for 40 years! After attending Arc Gateway events as a sponsor through Vannoy's, she said, "I thoroughly enjoyed watching the entire staff of The Arc Gateway do so many wonderful things and wanted to see if I could help."

We're extremely thankful to have Vicki on board as an awesome advocate for our mission!

When we asked Laura Sadowski what inspired her to get involved with The Arc Gateway, she said that her cousin with Down syndrome deeply shaped her perspective. "Watching her thrive and seeing the role The Arc Gateway played in her life left a lasting impact on me."

Along with being a new member of our Foundation Board, Laura currently manages her husband’s dental practice, Beulah Family Dentistry. She also serves on the Christ Church Vestry, stays active in church life, and support her kids through their sports and activities, including coaching cheer at Sacred Heart Cathedral School.

Laura's dream for our community's future is to create a strong, compassionate, and supportive community for everyone. We're so grateful for Laura and her service towards our mission!

Our Arizona Group Home’s vegetable garden has its first harvest of radishes!!!

The ladies are enjoying the experience of caring for their own garden and growing their own food. Projects like these remind us of our goal to provide the best possible life experiences for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities!

Recently, our clients, across programs and campuses, have been spending time outside picking up trash and taking pride in their centers. It’s been really cool to see them express that sense of ownership and care. We get to serve some of the best, most kind-hearted people!!!
