π£ It's almost that time again! Monthly neighborhood meetings start in 1 week. Some things to know:
βοΈ This first meeting is going to be about planning the year. We would have held a planning meeting a couple weeks ago, but the folks in our house have been sick. Hope you all avoided the junk going around this season!
βοΈ Planning is going to include picking some new board members. La Velle and I will get lonely if a couple of you don't join us. I stepped in as the President when Bob retired, but I'm not married to it. We can fill the President, Vice President, and Treasurer positions, depending which position I need to fill.
βοΈ I have brainstormed a bunch of ideas, but it will take people stepping into some new roles. A few areas you may consider helping include taking charge of the yard of the month awards, planning guest speakers, hosting an event, heading up social media posts, or being part of a team that canvases the neighborhood to share information and welcomes new residents.
βοΈ Let us know how you think we can improve our neighborhood, as well as how YOU WANT TO HELP make it happen. Keep in mind our limited budget. Can't make it to the meeting? Drop a comment below so we can include it in our planning session.
βοΈ I'm looking for one or two people who are crafty--specifically if you have the ability to work a Cricut machine and adhesive vinyl. We bought supplies with our grant money to make more signs for things like our Yard of the Month awards. It is an easy way to help out if you don't want to run an event or sit on the board.
I'm pretty sure I left something off, but this is already a long post. Thanks for reading this far. I hope to see all of you next week.
