A beautiful reminder of what community looks like ❤️

One of our residents, Robyn, saw a need and took action—organizing donations through her work that helped bring over 1,000 chickens to neighbors here on campus who needed a little extra help. Today, Fry's surprised and recognized her for her incredible kindness and leadership.

To top it off, Fry's provided a $1,000 award to Robyn who's only request was to "host a BBQ for all our residents to enjoy together."

This is what it’s all about… neighbors caring for neighbors.

☘️ An Irish Blessing for Our Community 💚

May this day, dressed in green, remind us of the beauty of belonging— of laughter shared in hallways, of kindness offered without hesitation, and of hearts that find home in one another.

May the road before us be filled with purpose, and the moments between be rich with joy.

May we lift each other in times of need,
and celebrate together in times of abundance.

May peace rest gently in our community,
like sunlight across familiar faces, and may every door we pass through today feel a little more like home.

And may the spirit of togetherness—strong, steady, and true— guide us not just today, but in all the days ahead. ☘️💚

One of our residents, Robyn, who works at Fry’s, has discovered a deep sense of purpose here at Immanuel. Over the past few months, she began noticing neighbors who could use a little extra help. She shared that while she may not be able to solve every challenge, she knew she could help with food.
Robyn leaned into Fry’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste campaign and began collecting donations with the goal of helping feed her neighbors here on campus. For the past three months, she has worked alongside her coworkers to gather contributions. Together, they were able to collect and deliver over 1,000 chickens to residents here at Immanuel.
Today, Fry’s recognized Robyn’s incredible efforts. They surprised her with a plaque, bouquets of balloons, and flowers in recognition of the compassion and leadership she demonstrated through this initiative.
But the story didn’t stop there.
In addition to celebrating Robyn, Fry’s also gifted our campus $1,000 to continue supporting our residents.
What a remarkable reminder of how one person seeing a need and acting with kindness can ripple across an entire community.
Robyn’s generosity, and the support of her coworkers and Fry’s, reflects the very spirit of Immanuel — neighbors caring for neighbors. Robyn expressed that “this is the best day of my life”.
Thank you Robyn, for the love you give and for the gift of your time! We are grateful for all of it!

HISTORY MADE
On March 10, 1876, Alexander Graham Bell made the first successful telephone call to his assistant, Thomas Watson, in his laboratory in Boston, Massachusetts, saying, "Mr. Watson — come here — I want to see you". This groundbreaking event occurred just three days after Bell received his telephone patent, fundamentally changing human communication. His liquid transmitter has evolved to multifunctional 2020’s smart phones, transforming through eras of operator-assisted wooden boxes, rotary dials, push-buttons, and eventually cellular and cloud-based technology. What a journey!

Do you remember the joy of filling in the blanks with the silliest nouns, wildest adjectives, and most ridiculous verbs you could think of? 📖✨

Today we brought back a little nostalgic fun with Mad Libs! Residents laughed as their stories came to life in the most unexpected ways — proving that a few creative words can turn an ordinary afternoon into a room full of smiles.

From sparkly dinosaurs to dancing bananas, you never quite know where a Mad Libs story will go… and that’s the best part! 😄

Moments like these remind us that creativity, laughter, and a little imagination never go out of style.
