Heart to Heart is a harm reduction-informed support group for people who love someone who uses drugs. We gather to support each other, share strategies, reduce stigma, and cope with the challenges of loving someone affected by substance use. This is a space of connection, not correction.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just show up. This space is about showing up for each other, with honesty, grace, and compassion.

This Sunday, April 27: Learn some tools to help you manage your grief during our free workshops at Lakeview Branch in conjunction with local counselors.

Both sessions are from 12:30 to 2 PM, but in different rooms at Lakeview Branch, 1137 W. Lake Ave.

For adults: Gain tools and confidence to navigate difficult conversations about death, dying, and grief with children. This insightful workshop, led by Seth Errion, LCPC, a local therapist certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying, and Bereavement, focuses on helping adults approach these sensitive topics with care and understanding. Participants will also explore ways to express their own grief, creating space for mutual healing and connection.

For tweens and teens: Registered Drama Therapist Julie Peters, LCPC will help participants learn to identify and understand grief while discovering practical techniques for navigating their emotions. No drama experience required, this is NOT a performance. Ages 8 to 13.

I am honored and excited to be presenting at the GRASP retreat in Albuquerque, NM in September 2024. I will be presenting on how mindfulness can be used in healing from grief, and I am looking forward to attending this conference to learn more about ways to advocate for policy change.

Our peer led trans support group will be hosting a mental health talk and check in! We understand not everyone has access to some of the support they might need and that’s why it’s great to be able to have a space like this with your peers!
