Our May Team Member of the Month at Garden Ridge is Brenda L. She has been part of Ridges at Peoria for over 17 years. During her time with us, her genuine and kind personality have left a lasting impression on residents and team members. Brenda works in the wellness department, and her knowledge, commitment and care for residents have been amazing.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Butterfly Wonderland to Garden Ridge for a truly special and educational experience. Residents enjoyed learning about the fascinating life cycle of butterflies and moths, their unique differences and the incredible ways they adapt to survive. Seeing these beautiful creatures up close made the experience even more memorable. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with learning, connection and appreciation for the beauty of nature on this Earth Day.

Spring has arrived at Garden Ridge. Residents enjoyed a visit from Smalls, an 11-week-old bunny who loves attention and cuddles. The Easter Bunny also stopped by for photos, sweet treats and charcuterie cups. The celebration continued with live music and dancing, featuring entertainer Randolph. Painted Promise Ranch also visited, bringing mini therapy horses and donkeys.

In honor of World Parkinson's Day, we're sharing Bob's story. After his diagnosis, he felt like giving up. But his daughter challenged him to fight back. Through Rock Steady Boxing at The Inn on Westport, a community managed by The Goodman Group, Bob regained his strength and found purpose helping others face their diagnosis with courage.
