Retinol works by essentially telling your skin cells to behave like younger, healthier versions of themselves, and it does this on multiple levels: ⬇️

1. Speeds Up Cell Turnover
• Normally, skin cells renew every 28–40 days, but this slows with age.
• Retinol accelerates that cycle, pushing new skin cells to the surface faster.
• This helps fade dark spots, smooth texture, and improve radiance.

2. Boosts Collagen Production
• In the deeper dermis layer, retinol stimulates fibroblasts (cells that make collagen and elastin).
• Collagen is what keeps skin firm and plump, but we lose about 1% each year after our mid-20s.
• More collagen = fewer fine lines and wrinkles over time.

3. Regulates Melanin (Pigment)
• Retinol can interrupt the overproduction of melanin.
