Life has a soundtrack. From the time we are children, music finds its way into our days and nights and links us to important moments. It brings us joy and comfort. Whether classical or gospel, mournful or uplifting, funeral music should reflect the personal preferences, religious traditions and cultural aspects of the person being remembered.

Funeral songs set the atmosphere for a memorial service or celebration of life. Find the best funeral music, religious or secular, to honor your loved one.

Have you ever heard of a fantasy coffin? In Ghana, people like to be buried in containers that represent their lives. It's believed that if the deceased is properly honored, such actions secure spiritual favor for the family left behind. Caskets have been shaped like planes for pilots, fish for fishermen and even a Mercedes-Benz for a businessman.

Our Story

A group of Peoria businessmen led by C.T. Hutchison founded Parkview Cemetery in 1921. In 1938, Delbert and Helen Davison established Davison Funeral Home at 813 S. Western Ave. on the south side of Peoria. Following the unexpected death of Delbert in 1968, George Fulton purchased the business. The funeral home served the community in the same location until it burned down. In 1973, a new chapel was built at 1203 W. Garfield Ave. in Bartonville. At that time, the business name was changed to Davison-Fulton Funeral Chapels.

In 1980, to serve families on the north side of Peoria, Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel opened adjacent to Parkview Cemetery at 2021 N. University St. In 1989, Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel joined the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.
