Did you know that 1 in 5 moms suffer from postpartum depression? May is Maternal Mental Health Month which raises awareness about the emotional well-being of parents before, during and up to twelve months after pregnancy. It is important to provide the education needed in order to recognize the signs of any mental health issues and lend the support needed to overcome these challenges. Untreated maternal health issues can have long term affects for both the parent and/or the child.

Our newest provider, Jennifer Kolettis, is a perinatal mental health specialist and is the only certified prescriber in our area. If you are interested in speaking with Jennifer, please call our office at 309.966.3862 to book an appointment.

We are so excited to announce that Jennifer Kolettis will be joining Affinity Women’s Health Care as a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Jennifer was trained as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and has been working in women’s health for the past five years. She will begin seeing patients on May 20. Please help us welcome her to our Affinity team! 💕✨
