I am talking to Verizon about having a meeting/class on the iPhone and iPad. I am hoping to have a meeting in Jan. and Feb. 2025, probably on a Tuesday evening from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. If you would be interested, please let me know. I hope to get enough people to attend, that would make them more willing to offer the classes.

I have many books, Apple II, Mac software, computer cables, kitchen and household items and a Brinkman electric smoker (never used, still in the original box.

Mardel Manor subdivision (Bartonville, IL) is having a garage sale Saturday, May 4th.
I am having a garage sale also. In addition to the Lionel Engine and passenger cars, cross county skis, I have a box of computer cables, RCA cables, printer cables, USB cables, power cables, HDMI cables and many other types of cables.
If you are in need of a cable, stop by and check it out.

Just a reminder about our Nov. meeting on Monday, Nov. 13 at 6:15 at the Peoria North Library.

I will show how you can connect your iPad to your flat screen TV.

If you have a Smart TV, getting TV shows over the internet is easier, but you can get TV over the internet using an iPad connected to a TV. I will briefly talk about using your Smart TV.

As I said in an earlier email, I dropped Directv after 25 years and I now get more shows over the internet for less than I was paying before.

If we have time we will also review the new M3 Macs.

We will also discuss our meetings next year and try to answer any questions or problems you may have with your Apple devices.

Mark you calendars for Monday Nov. 13th at 6:15pm. That's our next meeting date at Peoria North Library.
I will show how to watch TV over the internet, also called streaming. I will use my iPad and my iPhone, but you should be able to use any tablet or smart phone. I know I am paying less for internet and TV shows then I was paying with Directv.

We will have one more meeting. It will be Nov.13, 2023 at the Peoria North Library.
Streaming is gaining popularity. After 20 years with Directv, I dropped them and am now streaming the TV shows I want. Even with I3 Broadband fees, I am paying less and getting more then I was getting from Directv. And when I go to Door Co., I can use my iPad (connected to my TV) and the hot spot on my iPhone to watch the same as here.
So, I will show you how to connect your TV to an iPad or iPhone and watch TV. If you have a smart TV it is even easier. If we have time, I will review some of the different programs, some are free and some have fees.
We will also discuss the future of the Club. With so much information on the internet, do we have a need for our meetings?

I have not scheduled any more meetings this year. Neither Rod or I are able to be at the meetings.

Hopefully we can work out something for next year.
