We will address areas like hip mobility, tight hamstrings, neck and shoulder tension, and focusing your mind.

What am I thinking...

I often find myself overthinking and headed down a rabbit hole of what if’s. It’s not uncommon to feel overwhelmed and frustrated when all we want to do is be calmer and more clear-minded.
We all want more peace in our hearts and minds.

With all the distractions of life these days, it’s no wonder that our minds are fuller and more taxed than ever.

Try asking yourself this question, what am I thinking at this moment that is causing me to feel this way? How would I like to feel instead?

Try not to answer the question, (that’s the hard part) keep asking the question, and be patient. Just like talking to a child who isn’t quite sure how to express themselves, try to be patient and wait for the answer to arrive.

It may take a moment, or months, just keep asking the question and then be quiet.

This is one of my favorite and most effective exercises to do with my clients and myself when I'm feeling something unpleasant or not serving.

I started practicing Yoga at the gym. I wanted what I thought was a yoga body. It seemed that all my teachers were in shape and happy and that's exactly what I was looking for.

After a few weeks of ‘hitting the mat hard’ and practicing daily, sometimes even 2-3x a day something profound began to happen. The yoga body I wanted started to appear. But not the way I thought.

I began to notice how strong I was, I began to appreciate all I was doing and I began to cheer myself on.

I went from a person who beat myself up for what I ate to someone who cheered myself on for just simply being me.

I didn't get a ‘yoga body’ like I thought I would, instead I got Yoga, and a body that is perfect exactly as it is. And that's more than I could ever want.

When the weather is cold outside we need to balance inside our body with foods to support digestion (Agni) and fiery energy.

Ayurveda is a sister science to Yoga and says, balance is the key to health.
