We are moving!

We are excited to see your family at our new location a few miles away at 21681 North 77th Avenue, Suite 1410 in Peoria, AZ 85382.

Please note there are no changes occurring to our Thunderbird location.

Our last day seeing patients at our Happy Valley location will be August 26, 2022. We will be opening our new Deer Valley location the end of October. During this time, we will continue seeing all patients at our Thunderbird location. Our phone and fax numbers are not changing.

Valley of the Sun Pediatrics is now offering Rapid COVID-19 Testing in the office. The test takes approximately 15 minutes to process.

We are seeing an increase in our community currently of COVID and if your child has had an exposure they should be evaluated.

Valley of the Sun Pediatrics is working diligently to keep your family healthy and provide the best care for your children, while also minimizing risk to patients, families and our staff amidst the many concerns about the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Both of our office locations remain open to support your family. We continue to recommend well-child visits and keeping your children up-to-date with their immunizations.

We are making several changes to maximize your safety and minimize your risk of exposure; including scheduling well-child visits in the morning and sick visits in the afternoon.

• Shortness of Breath

Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update

There has been increasing media coverage and concern regarding the risks of COVID-19, also known as the novel coronavirus. This is a dynamic situation that we are paying very close attention to. Right now the risk of infection is considered to be low. We continue to be in contact with and defer to local, state, and federal health departments for the latest updates.

As of this writing there are currently 2 "presumptive positive" cases in Maricopa county.

If our patients or their caregivers have recently travelled to a known COVID-19 region or have had close contact with a known case and are feeling ill, we ask that you please, remain home and CALL US so we can follow the currently established guidelines and potentially avoid exposure to other patients and providers in our offices.

The best defense is the same common sense hygiene practices that should be considered during every flu season.

-Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
-Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
-Stay home when you are sick.
-Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
-Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
-Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
-If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

Summer is a wonderful time to schedule your child for their sports physical or yearly well check examination. We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics and recommend well check visits yearly beginning at the age of 3 through 18 years of age. There are several new recommendations regarding immunizations and blood screening tests that your child may need prior to returning to school in August.

Our summer appointments are filling up quickly, so please try to call the office (623-362-1818) early to schedule your child’s appointment in case your child needs immunizations or lab work prior to starting school in the fall.
