Linda Harris, a cook with the Care Center at EverTrue Lenoir Woods in Columbia, Mo., celebrated 50 years with our organization, and had only one thing on her mind when thinking about all her hard work – “the residents."

Linda’s focus and commitment to the EverTrue mission, purpose and values have made her instrumental as a role model and a leader in the Dining Services department where she not only creates great food, but also helps to encourage the residents to eat through interaction and personality.

“Since I was first interviewed, my focus has been the residents. Their happiness is really what we are here for.” That energy and enthusiasm is what makes Linda one of the top employees in the Evertrue Lenoir Woods Dining Services. “Linda has done so much for our department. We are lucky to have her,” said Jason Martin, Director of Dining Services.

Linda’s fellow team members and a few residents were able to share their well wishes for her big anniversary.

She is the only EverTrue team member to hit this remarkable milestone of 50 years in 2025. Celebrate Linda with us by wishing her a Happy 50th Anniversary!

Samaritan staff and residents celebrated Art in the Park Day on Friday, July 25th, with an art show!! We have so many talented people here, and we had a great time showing off art we or our loved ones made. Those who didn't bring stuff out had fun seeing everything and learning more about our friends! Everyone said they wanted to know when we could do it again, so we started planning for the next time!

Today we had the pleasure of listening to some history of Lutheran Hillside Village. We had some experts on the topic who gave a very nice presentation. Al Berg, one of our former board presidents and resident was alongside Phil King, our Foundation Director who has celebrated 37 years working at LHV. We are grateful for both of them and what they have done for our community!

Centennial Plaza - Managed by EverTrue team members and residents presented women and children of The Haven of Grace women’s shelter with 80 special gift baskets, which were created during Centennial Plaza's recent Joy Week.

Joy Week is an annual week of special activities and gatherings hosted at EverTrue Affordable Housing Communities to celebrate the team, residents and families.

Residents enjoyed collecting the items and creating the baskets, but the biggest reward was sharing joy and supporting the larger St. Louis community!

EverTrue Meridian Village is currently sharing a live stream of their super fun Cardboard Boat Race competition. Featuring boats crafted (and manned) by team members, the boats are required to make it to the end of the pool and back to be considered for ranking!

Samaritan Place had one of our favorite entertainers come back and play for us again. Not only did Rich Gilmore sing, but he was able to get Pastor Pat to sing along too!! Pastor sang two Johnny Cash songs before he was on his way!! Everyone has a great time singing and toe tapping along with both of them.

Our Bethel Place residents went to visit Faith Lutheran Child Care on Thurday, July 10, we were invited to watch Miss Diane's class as they enjoyed playing in the sun and water. It was a beautiful day, and we had a great time watching the kiddos have fun! We can't wait to foster more fun between the generations in the months ahead!!

Our residents had tshirts made for this event… and maybe that was their good luck charm for winning both games! 🏆 The girls will be back next week… so they can still make a comeback! ehs

We had a wonderful day yesterday at Starved Rock Lodge. A beautiful bus ride there, a deliicous lunch, and an entertaining show! It was a WWII Radio hour with songs and skits inspired by the 1940s. The singers interacted with the crowd and eve nmade a stop at our table singing “Dont sit under the apple tree...” It was a great day!

The residents of Bethel and Samaritan had the opportunity to watch the life cycle of some painted lady butterflies. We received them as caterpillars, watched them turn into the chrysalis stage, and watched them hatch before we released them!

⚾️ Five older adults in hospice care and their caretakers took a turn on the field recently at a St. Louis Cardinals game with some fun that included pre-game activities, including player warmups, hanging with Mascot Hall of Fame winner Fred Bird, and meeting Cardinals broadcaster Bengie Molina as part of the EverTrue Memorable Moments initiative.

EverTrue Memorable Moments provides residents in our Hospice and Palliative Care programs with meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime experiences to create memories for the resident and their loved ones. ❤️
