Yesterday’s injury prevention class at Master Ballet Academy was all about reactivity! 🧠⚡️
Led by Impact Physical Therapy, this session focused on enhancing reaction time, balance, and joint stability—key components for injury prevention in dancers.

When the body can quickly adapt to unexpected changes—like a wobble on pointe, a sudden partner shift, or an off-center landing—it’s far less likely to get injured. Reactivity training helps build that adaptability.

We challenged dancers with balloon drills that were as fun as they were functional—working on staying balanced while keeping a balloon in place with a partner, and reacting quickly to dynamic movement. 🎈🩰

That’s why core work that prioritizes flexion (like curl-ups, dead bugs, and hollow holds) is so essential.
