🌟 Meet Shannon, Our Newest Counselor at DK Counseling & Clinical Supervision 🌟

With over 23 years of experience working with individuals, families, and groups, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting tweens, teens, young adults, and parents through life’s many transitions. Whether it’s navigating adolescence, stepping into parenthood, or processing grief and loss, I’m passionate about helping people find clarity, strength, and hope along the way.

I spent 13 years as a school social worker, which gave me a deep understanding of the challenges students face today—like anxiety, depression, peer conflict, and academic stress. My counseling approach is authentic, supportive, and compassionate, while also encouraging you to grow into the best version of yourself. I believe a strong partnership with a therapist can truly be life-changing, and I’m honored to walk alongside you on your journey to wellness.

I know taking the first step into counseling can feel overwhelming, but it can also be one of the most rewarding decisions you make. I’m also a big advocate for mental health and wellness in everyday life.

Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time outdoors, running, reading, being with family and friends, and traveling—especially anywhere with a beach! 🌊
