👋 Hey! I’m Diane Meads. 😊 I’m a FertilityCare Practitioner (FCP), meaning I teach women and couples the Creighton Model FertilityCare System. I customize the program to each client’s individual needs and goals. I also coordinate referrals to NaProTECHNOLOGY Medical Consultants when fertility or health concerns are present.
I’m a former high-school teacher, happily married to my husband Matt. We live in central Illinois with our three young kiddos. If I’m not chasing toddlers around a playground, I’m probably reading, cooking, or thoroughly enjoying an iced coffee! ☕️
I was a freshman in college when I first became interested in the Creighton Model. I randomly attended a lecture through our Catholic Newman Center on campus where an FCP presented the basics of women’s health and the answers that charting Creighton could provide. I couldn’t believe how much I learned in one hour about ovulation and fertility that I had never been taught in any Health class in school, and also that Creighton could allow a couple to to either achieve or avoid pregnancy completely naturally, ethically, and effectively, completely without the use of side-effect-laden contraceptives. Finally, charting Creighton would also identify health-related issues that a woman could be experiencing, which a medical doctor could then treat. I walked away from that evening thinking, “What an incredible tool this is!” 🤯
Fast-forward several years to when I was single, teaching, and a friend entered the training program to become an FCP. I couldn’t wait to learn the system from her and hopefully understand more fully whether my own cycles were normal. Within several months, through charting and visiting a doctor also certified with Creighton, I learned that my progesterone levels were low, which was causing me to experience significant PMS issues and also would put me at a greater risk for infertility and miscarriage. I am eternally grateful to have known this prior to getting married and building our family! 🙏🏻🥳❤️
After successfully using Creighton in our marriage to both achieve and avoid pregnancy, I found myself regularly talking it up to friends and wanting to teach others the system, too! I’ve now completed the 18-month Creighton internship program in order to become certified as an FCP, which included extensive in-depth education, exams, and supervisor visits from a certified FCP educator. 📚
