At BCDI, every patient matters. 💜

We’re honored to share Dolores' story about finding compassion, clarity, and expert care after her ITP diagnosis. Our team strives to provide not only leading-edge treatment but also genuine support—because we know that healing is about more than medicine.

"From the moment I walked into BCDI, I felt welcome. When I met Dr. T., my anxiety disappeared. He was warm, down-to-earth, and took the time to clearly explain my ITP diagnosis to my husband and me. I saw kindness, compassion, and genuine care in his eyes. I wasn’t just another patient—I mattered. BCDI has truly been a lifesaver." - Dolores O

We are grateful for the trust our patients place in us, and we remain committed to walking alongside them every step of the way.

💜 Help us raise awareness for ITP this September! 💜

Here’s how you can get involved:

🩸 Join BCDI’s Free ITP Patient Support Group
This is a virtual, free support community specifically created for ITP patients and their families. Members meet regularly to share experiences, stay informed about the latest treatment options and research, and offer mutual support.

📣 Advocate alongside BCDI & PDSA during ITP Hill Day
BCDI takes part in ITP Hill Day, where advocates (including patients, caregivers, and medical professionals) gather in Washington, D.C. to meet with lawmakers and raise awareness about ITP at the federal level.

👀 Know the signs and spread the word
Spreading awareness is a key step in supporting the ITP community. By learning and sharing the warning signs (like easy bruising, petechiae, gum or nose bleeding) you can help others recognize the disorder earlier and advocate for themselves or loved ones.
