When your symptoms get better quickly, the root of the problem is still likely there.
But the fact that you’re better is great! We know you’re on the right track. But that doesn’t mean it’s time to dip out.

The amount of times we’ve seen people who start and finish PT at another clinic with the same treatment is crazy. I always like to give the benefit of the doubt to the other PTs because there are some excellent ones out there. But many times clinic settings aren’t set up to treat for long term results, require rushed visits or as we all know- many patients just self discharge when things are going ok.

📣Your program should build to make sure you can continue to place more demand on your body without your symptoms returning. 📣

Most runners think that they need more miles or to stretch more. But that’s not what the research and our experience shows.

If your body isn’t strong enough to handle the miles and repetitive forces, you’ll keep dealing with the same aches, pains and set backs.

If you want to run better, you need:

-single leg stability
-power
-strength

That’s what will keep you running long term.

If you want to learn how to do this the right way, join us Saturday for our FREE running workshop 11-12. Sign up at link in bio.

Learn with us:
-Common injuries and how to prevent them
-General exercise recommendations
-Running and strength progressions
-Soreness vs pain

Our virtual Held program is second to none.

Here are some FAQs regarding Held:

-Can I start it if I’m postpartum?
YES! Up to a year postpartum. After that we recommend an evaluation first.

-What if I don’t have any pain or issues right now?
Perfect! This is for someone exactly like you. If you do have pain we recommend an evaluation and skilled PT with longer visits than our Held 30 minute appts.

-Can I purchase for someone else?
Absolutely! We have had multiple people purchase for someone as a gift! We honestly think it’s one of the best gifts you can get someone.

-Will I learn how to prepare for labor?
Absolutely. We will give you exercises and breathing techniques to help during labor and delivery.

-How do I know if I need the digital guide, Held, or skilled PT?
We wanted to develop services and products to meet you where you’re at regardless of symptoms, time and ability to commit financially.

Here’s a simple way to think about it:

Digital Guide
This is your starting point if you’re looking for education, prevention, or gentle guidance. Low pressure self guided support.
It’s perfect if you’re:
• Not currently in pain, but want to be proactive
• Feeling mild or occasional symptoms
• Wanting to learn your body at your own pace
• Not ready for a bigger time or financial commitment

Held
This is for you if you want more support, accountability, and connection, but aren’t necessarily dealing with complex or high-level symptoms.
Ideal if you:
• Feel overwhelmed and want to be guided
• Are overwhelmed by all the “noise” out there and wondering what’s normal and what’s not
• Are navigating pregnancy/postpartum changes and want to feel supported in your body

Skilled Physical Therapy
This is where we go deeper and more individualized.
It’s best if you:
• Are dealing with pain, leaking, pressure, or other pelvic floor concerns
• Feel stuck despite trying things on your own
• Have more complex symptoms or a longer history
• Want a personalized, hands-on (or 1:1 virtual) plan
*need to live in Illinois for skilled PT!

When we don’t sit with the weight and pain of what Jesus took upon himself so we don’t have to, it’s near impossible to understand what it actually means for us. To understand the freedom and joy we can now walk in because of what he endured.

Oh praise the one who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead.

Make sure to watch to end for a visual and cue that I like to use rather than “belly breathing” for our physical therapy clients and their goals.

“Belly breathing” isn’t a “bad” cue but it’s often incomplete and unhelpful for anyone trying to be more mindful of their pelvic floor, spine, hips, and ribcage mobility.

Let me know if you use it!
