Barnes Myofascial Release. Available to treat many different issues, including pain, loss of mobility, migraines,
pelvic floor dysfunction, TMJ, Fibromyalgia. Services also available before, during and after delivery including on call services for the birth. Fascia is a specialized body system, similar to a web that is one continuous structure head to toe. It is the environment of every cell and plays an important role in the support and function of our bodies. Physical and emotional trauma, scarring or inflammation cause the fascia to dehydrate and lose pliability causing up to 2000 pounds per square inch of pressure on pain sensitive structures, blood vessels, organs and creating a variety of symptoms. Myofascial release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying sustained pressure into the connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. The critical time element creates lasting releases of the holding patterns that traditional therapy fails to address. This approach embraces the differences in each person and looks at the entire body. We promote independence through education in proper body mechanics and movement, self treatment instruction, enhancement of strenght, improved flexibility and posutral and movement awareness.
