Our Paws 4 Healing therapy dogs brought smiles and joy to the hallways during a special Halloween parade! Dressed in festive costumes, these four-legged friends helped spread happiness and comfort to patients, families, and staff alike. 💛

Paws 4 Healing, our animal-assisted therapy program at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois, pairs specially trained therapy dogs and handlers with patients to support emotional, social, and physical well-being. Our Teaching Kitchen at OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute offers hands-on cooking classes designed to support nutrition during and after cancer treatment. Whether you’re looking to eat more nutritiously, boost strength and recovery, or manage side effects of treatment, there’s a class for you:

🥗 Nourish & Flourish – Meal planning, plant-based recipes, and strategies for healthy eating.
💪 Power Plates: Recipes for Strength & Recovery – High-protein meals for those healing, in treatment, or post-surgery.
🍲 Cook to Cope – Tips for managing taste changes, nausea, or other nutrition-related side effects. Caregivers are welcome.
🌟 Thrive After Cancer (coming January 2026) – Nutrition guidance for cancer survivors based on AICR recommendations.

📍 Classes are held in the Teaching Kitchen on the lower level of OSF Cancer Institute, 1310 N. Missouri Ave, Peoria.

🏀 OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute is proud to sponsor The Kevin Brown Memorial Tournament of Champions!

Join us November 25-29 in Washington, Illinois, to watch top high school basketball talent from across the country, including players following in the footsteps of NBA stars like Zion Williamson and Anthony Davis.

Proceeds benefit KBstrong – Fighting the Fight, supporting glioblastoma research, patient care, and raising awareness about this aggressive brain cancer.

We’ll also have some special moments, including OSF kids doing a “reverse autograph signing” with players and OSF representatives presenting game balls throughout the tournament.

We were honored to accept a generous donation from Teal Butterfly Blessings' 2nd Annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Walk yesterday at OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute! 💙🦋

Funds will support the OSF HealthCare Sister Diane Marie Gynecological Research Fund, advancing research within the OSF HealthCare Breakthrough Treatment Center focused on preventing, treating and curing gynecological cancers.
