Meet Heather Jefford, DNP, our Nurse Practitioner on the Bariatric Team! 👩‍⚕️🩺Heather is known for her positivity, encouragement, bariatric expertise, and easy-going personality that instantly puts patients at ease.✨

You may have met Heather before joining the bariatric program if you’ve had other procedures with our general surgeons. 🏥 Her passion for bariatrics began early in her career, and she earned her Advanced Practice Provider Certificate soon after starting her work with bariatric surgery patients.

With 16 years of experience in bariatrics, Heather continues to make a lasting impact on patients’ lives. She is also an affiliate member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), reflecting her dedication to advancing the field.📚

Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband 💑, good friends 🥰, and dogs 🐶🐾. She loves to golf 🏌️, travel to warmer destinations like Arizona 🌵☀️ and proudly support her hometown sports teams 🏈⚾🏀! Go Panthers! 🧡🖤
