Road Dog Yoga and the Full-Time Airstream Adventures of Scotty & Monica

Road Dog Yoga and the Full-Time Airstream Adventures of Scotty & Monica This page is about our full time journey living in an Airstream Argosy trailer at 55 and 58 years young.

Its also about my journey as a yoga teacher and now taking yoga on the road to anyone who seeks to practice.

One of my bestest friends posted this to her timeline tonight and it could not be more appropriate after today’s travels 🤗

We headed towards Prescott, AZ today which was about a 2 hour drive. We didn’t make reservations (for the first time pretty much on our trip) because it’s getting cold up here and we figured there’d be no problem. We planned to stay one maybe two nights close to town to check it out and see the area.

As we were rolling into town a truck pulled up beside us to let us know our trailer door was open 😳😳😳🤬. The door has been an issue for over two months, we even had some welding done on it in the Tetons. Anyway, the glass in it broke and when it swung open (who knows how many times) it hit the kitchen window on the side of the trailer and broke two of the glass levelor inserts. 🤐🤐

Pulled into a Home Depot so Scott could get get some quick fix stuff while we figured out what to do (3 Pm by now). I got on the phone to book an overnight. Ya ~ no!! Country western concert in town and every single RV park and campground including boondocking sites close by were full!! In search we even ended up on a dirt road where the truck had to go into 4wd low so we could back into an open area and turn around.

45 minutes and almost dark 30 later we arrived out in the middle of nowhere on a rugged dirt road, in a boondock area and a site that says “no camping.” Scott put some wood up on the windows ~ thank God this man can fix everything that happens to this trailer~ (it’s currently in the low 40’s right now) and we have the propane stove going. I can’t remember the last time I was cold 🤣 did I say “shade” in my last post. “Goldilocks syndrome is real 🤫.”

Anyway we had eggs and veggies for dinner, a hot shower and now off to bed. The moral as it relates to the picture for me is that from about 2:30 on today where we were meant to be was simply in full surrender and we are under some beautiful trees and in gorgeous landscape. Who knows what God and the universe has planned tomorrow🙏

Sweet dreams and have a beautiful weekend friends and family 💕

Well California ~ I think AZ is where the wind landed. Holy moly ~ it is blowing like crazy here and has been all night.

After 12 days of lake time, paddle boarding, mountain biking and wild b***o communing we are heading north for some cooler weather before descending and heading west towards Lake Havasu for a month.

The blessings of this stop:🙏

🦋 Much needed downtown
🦋 Seeing Amanda, Chris, CJ and baby in the oven
🦋 The wild b***os
🦋 Awesome cross country biking trails

I never thought I’d say this but “I need some shade!” 🤣 😬

After 3 very full and long days of driving we arrived in Glendale, AZ last night. We spent our first night ever in a parking lot at Cabelas. Won’t be doing that again anytime soon 🤦‍♀️

🍃🦋Today we arrived at Lake Pleasant and it’s so peaceful. Texas kicked our butts in more ways than not which has left us both in need of some mental and emotional down time and God has blessed us with a beautiful place to do nothing but rebalance. 🙏🍃

💕 It was 85 today, nice breeze, biking trails, cove below our camp to paddle board in, wonderful water temp and wild b***os ~ they are so fun to listen to in the dark thru the canyons 😁

🦋Happy Saturday everyone 🦋

I’ve been so focused on learning how to travel full time in a very small space with another being as well as learning a new side business that my goal of sharing yoga has been put to the side. My practice is amazing but I am not sharing as I had intended. Full time RV travel requires a lot of research and of course traveling and then there is the play time once we arrive. Navigating intense weather (goodbye Texas ~ never again in summer months), unexpected insects and personality traits is a full time job in and of itself. Yoga is one of my biggest solutions to life’s discomforts and I do want to share it with everyone. So ....

🍃This week begins the shifting of that slowly🍃

🐣Have you ever practiced yoga asana and breathing? Did you know you can be a devoted Christian, Muslim, Catholic, Jewish, etc., and practice yoga? Did you know you can honor any god of your choosing or none for that matter and experience amazing mind, body, spirit healing/balance by simply practicing yoga asana and breathing? If not I am her to tell you ~ YES ~ absolutely you can 🐣

🍃Start with these simple postures everyday, breathing deeply in as you extend and exhaling out as you lean into the posture. Find your place of steadiness and ease in the posture where you can breathe and feel no pain. Allow the body and mind to sink in and release.

Love and light to all 💕

🦋 So this happened today 🧘‍♀️ completely impromptu and so much fun. I had been practicing on my board and went in for water and decided “why not a sneak leak video on the board for fun!” Once I purchase a new video recorder I will record an entire 75 min class 🤩🧘‍♀️

Love and light to all 🦋

Hi friends and family ~ We are currently dry camping above Durango where it is very quiet and you can hear the crickets sing at night. We had our first google maps 🤦‍♀️🤐🤦‍♀️ trying to get to our campground where it took us 45 minutes out of the way. This is the first time a paper map would have trumped the iPhone apps. I have often wondered how in the world a journey like this was possible before google maps and the like as well as all the research into routes and places to stay. I ha e come to the conclusion that life was a lot simpler then and places were less crowded. With that said, I am so grateful for the iPhone and all its apps 🙏❣️

Just a few notes over the last two days.

🌻 Yesterday we paddle boarded at Nighthorse Reservoir which I guess just opened a year or so ago and was 11 years in the making by the U Tribe. They actually pump water up hill into the reservoir. The lake was warm and crystal clear as well, without knowing, we arrived to paddle board in a day where there was a no wake rule 🤩🎊🤩🙏❣️ YES!!

🌻 we are in love with paddle boarding!! It is an amazing moving meditation and great for the arms and core. Apollo actually took a nap on the board yesterday while Scott was paddling him around 💞Scott Cleworth

🌻 Tofsy we set out for a mountain bike ride 🚴‍♀️🥴😳 using trail forks app. We arrived st the trail head and asked a couple what it was like as we were looking for less climbing and more cross country flow. They sent us a few miles back up the road where they said we’d find that.

🌻 After the absolute grueling ride today, we have concluded that in the rugged mountains of Colorado there is no such thing as cross country and climbing is inevitable AND when the locals say it’s an “easier” trail we can assume to as be gasping for air at 7800 feet and our thighs will be burning. 🤐🤐 ps ~ it was a gorgeous ride and I feel great but suffered a bit during the ride 😩

🌻 Life is good, God is amazing and surrender into more self awareness is key for us and such a big part of our journey.

Love and light to you all ❣️
