This week at Sierra Winds, we had an amazing time with , who hosted a 1950s-themed mystery event! 🕵️‍♀️🎶
Our staff and residents teamed up to solve the case and earn their Super Sleuths of the Night certificates. Everyone had such a great time and it was a blast seeing everyone dressed up in fabulous 50s fashion! 👗🎩💃

Sierra Winds Outing at Matt’s Big Breakfast🍳

This morning, our Sierra Winds group enjoyed a delicious breakfast outing at Matt’s Big Breakfast! Known for its simple yet flavorful dishes, the restaurant lived up to its reputation every bite was wonderful. It was such a nice way to spend the morning together, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

🌟Employee of the Month Spotlight: Shelly Duran🌟

We are proud to celebrate Shelly Duran, our Morning Cook, as this month’s Employee of the Month! 👏

Born and raised in Peoria, Shelly graduated from Peoria High School in 1985. She joined Sierra Winds while looking for new opportunities, and we have been lucky to have her ever since.

Shelly’s love for food shows in every dish she prepares. She is always trying new recipes and techniques, turning regular meals into something special.

Chef Christina says it best:

“Shelly is here by 4:30 a.m., getting the kitchen ready. Everything we eat at Sierra Winds, she’s had a hand in. She’s a big part of the magic we produce every day.”

When she is not working in the kitchen, Shelly enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. Family means everything to her.💕

Shelly is hardworking, kind, and caring, and she represents the heart of Sierra Winds. Thank you, Shelly, for everything you do for our community! 💛

Sierra Winds Cultural Adventure 🌏

Today we took a trip to H-Mart and had lunch at the H-Mart café sampling dumplings and sushi while exploring flavors from around the world. It felt like traveling to different countries without ever leaving our city. A fun, delicious, and eye-opening cultural experience! 🥟🍣✨
