Contrast baths can be a great way to bring blood flow and speed healing in areas of the body that don't have much blood flow, such as the ankles. The switch between hot water and cold water creates a pump effect that improves blood flow to an injured area. To do a contrast bath, alternate submerging the injured area in hot water and cold water for 3-5 minutes, ending on cold.

Did you know that squats are one of the best exercises for you? Along with strengthening your legs and core, squats can improve your balance and coordination, reducing fall and injury risk. Chair squats are a very beginner-friendly way to get started with squats. Stand with your feet hip width apart and sit your hips back, touching your bottom to the chair behind you. Reach your arms over your head and hold the pose for 2-3 deep breaths. If you need extra support, you can have a chair behind or in front in case you lose your balance. This pose strengthens your glutes, hamstrings, and quads, as well as your core!
