Let's celebrate Darriean! Today marks her THIRD anniversary at On Spot Therapy! Darriean joined our Fargo team in 2023, and just 13 months later, she took the helm when we opened our Perham, MN clinic! Darriean quickly became well known for her high standard of care. Her dedication, expertise, and passion for supporting her clients and their families is truly remarkable. Those of you who know her will definitely agree!

✨ Transformation Thursday ✨

When we first met Finn at 9 months old, mealtimes were stressful. He struggled with gagging and vomiting, limiting his food intake which resulted in poor weight gain. 📉

Fast forward over a year later, and look at him now! 💪🏻

Over months of dedicated speech therapy focusing on desensitization, oral motor exercises, chewing skills, sensory exploration, and a lot of brave “try its,” he has completely transformed his relationship with food.

✅ No more gagging/vomiting
✅ Exploring new textures
✅ Eating table foods
✅ Enjoying the social aspect of family meals

Seeing him go from fear to eagerly trying everything on his plate is why we love pediatric feeding therapy ❤️

But the cherry on top?! 🍒 We also worked on his communication skills, and he is now using 2-3 word utterances to communicate his world 🌎

It’s been such a joy watching him reach new milestones and grow his skills. Keep shining buddy, we are so proud of you! ☀️

S-S-S-Success! 🎓✨

Huge congratulations to this young man for graduating from speech therapy! In less than a year, he mastered his articulation goals working on /s/ and /r/ sounds with complete dedication. These sounds can be complex to master with older kiddos, but hitting that goal in under a year is a major accomplishment that deserves some praise! It’s not easy to change a habit you’ve had for years but he made it look so easy. Way to go Jase! 👏🏻

We are beyond proud to share that Kylie has officially completed level 6 of the Barton Reading and Spelling System AND graduated from speech therapy! 🎉 📚

Just a couple of years ago, reading and spelling felt like a mountain, and writing tasks were a daily challenge. Today, she is soaring! Watching her gain confidence, improve her reading fluency, and master complex reading patterns has been a joy.

Congratulations! Here’s to a bright future ahead 🦅🎓🌟

As February comes to an end, we want to take a moment to highlight this special little lady. Today is Rare Disease Day and February is Noonan Syndrome Awareness month. 🧬 💙

Noonan Syndrome is a rare genetic condition that can affect many parts of the body— from heart health to growth and development. It affects roughly 1 in 2,500 people and can involve a wide spectrum of symptoms. Because it’s a spectrum, every journey is unique. 🌟

Speech and language delays are common in children with Noonan Syndrome, but this little warrior has taught us so much about patience, courage, and perseverance. She is now babbling, producing different sounds, and signing words/requests consistently! We are so proud of how far she has come!🗣️🤟🏼

Today we celebrate her strength and the unique light she brings to this world! 🩷💜

As a speech-language pathologist, we are honored to witness the incredible journey of sound, connection, and communication. Today we celebrate the dedication to our clients, families, and technology that brings the world of hearing to life. It’s a journey of patience, but so worth it! We are lucky enough to be able to celebrate every “first”— the first time they turn to their name, their first word, and the first time they sing along to a song. 🩵
