This is a great safety guide for children swimming in lakes and swimming pools. The color of the bathing suit can make it easier or more difficult to see children while they are swimming. This is a good reminder to always have adult supervision when children are swimming. (Thanks to Praire Lakes Healthcare System.)

Around midnight our department was responding to a major vehicle accident when our engine got into an accident itself. The engine rolled and trapped one of our firefighters under it. The firefighter was life flighted to a hospital, but by the grace of God, is expected to make a full recovery. We are asking for prayers for the firefighter and the firefighter’s family, as well as all of us here at Wiggins Fire Department. We appreciate the support and look forward to continuing to serve our community and getting our firefighter back with us soon!

Thank you,
Chief Purvis
