Skip's Success Story: From Pain to Progress
When Skip Curry began physical therapy, he was dealing with extreme pain in his right shoulder and back. Today, that pain is completely gone. Skip shared how professional, friendly, and caring the Active Life team was throughout his care and that he “highly recommends the treatment at Active Life.”

Say hello to Dr. Stephanie Alderson—our newest PT joining the Jacksonville team after 4 years in Perry Hall!

Stephanie’s a mom of three, a lifelong runner, and passionate about helping people recover, move stronger, and get back to what they love. She’s got a special interest in keeping runners healthy (yes, she’ll even sneak her sneakers into the clinic 👟).

At 87 years old, an avid gardener’s world was turned upside down after a fall in the yard led to a fractured hip and major surgery. Following a long hospital and rehab stay, she turned to Christina and the team at Active Life for help rebuilding her strength.
Over the months of physical therapy, Christina provided constant encouragement, motivation, and hands-on care from exercises to strengthen weakened muscles to techniques that eased pain. With dedication and hard work, she has regained her independence, returned to gardening, and no longer needs a cane to get around.
She proudly says she feels “almost back to new” and plans to continue Christina’s program at her local gym to stay active!

✅ Will: "I have always been interested in sports, weightlifting and fitness in general. I found physical therapy to be a very rewarding field, incorporating many of my own passions, while helping others get back to doing what they love and improve their quality of life."

❓Why did you choose to become a PT❓
✅ Kenny: I chose to be a PT to guide others on their journey to recovery. I find being an advocate for my patients and helping them unlock their full potential incredibly rewarding. It’s fulfilling to see people overcome challenges and achieve things they once thought were out of reach.

❓ Why is living an active life important to you ❓
✅ Kenny: Staying active is a priority for me because it maintains my health and function as I age. Beyond that, it ensures I can continue to enjoy the things I love, whether it’s hiking, running, basketball, or traveling. Being active allows me to live life to the fullest, and I want to keep doing so for as long as possible.
