He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! Alleluia!

Christ is alive! The tomb is empty, and death has been defeated! Today, we rejoice in the victory of our risen Savior, who conquered sin and the grave to bring us eternal life and unshakable hope.

"He is not here, for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where He lay." – Matthew 28:6 (ESV)

At Perry Lutheran Homes, we celebrate the joy of Easter, knowing that Christ’s resurrection brings hope, renewal, and everlasting love to all generations. May your heart be filled with the peace and promise of our risen Lord today and always!

Hands and hearts—young and old—have been busy creating prayer crosses, each one a unique reminder of Christ’s love on this Good Friday. Nearly 26,000 crosses have been shared, touching lives both near and far.

At Perry Lutheran Homes, we are growing in faith and living with purpose through meaningful intergenerational connections.

Isaiah 52:13

“Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted.”

Dear Heavenly Father:

We pray that you would graciously watch over us for whom our Lord Jesus Christ was willing to be betrayed and delivered into the hands of sinful men to suffer death upon the cross. Open our hearts to introspection of our distance from the cross caused by our sin and speed our hearts to know your passion there. You die for our good. Thank you for your great mercy, dear Lord! MP

Today, on Good Friday, we pause in solemn reflection on the sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ. On the cross, He bore our sins, suffering in our place, so that we might receive forgiveness, grace, and eternal life.

"But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed." – Isaiah 53:5

At Perry Lutheran Homes, we hold onto the hope that comes from Christ’s sacrifice, knowing that His love for us is immeasurable. As we reflect on the depth of His mercy, we look ahead to the promise of Easter morning.

How has Christ’s sacrifice changed your life?

A little sweetness, a lot of joy!

Thanks to volunteer Luke and our amazing Life Enrichment team, residents were treated to Blizzard-inspired creations made to order and delivered with care.

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Dear Heavenly Father:

You have given yourself for our salvation on the cross and invested yourself in the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. You follow your gifts with a command to love one another with your love as its root. A love that aspires to see heaven in everyone and doesn’t burden itself with earned worthiness. Help us to overflow with Your love. In Jesus, Amen!

On Maundy Thursday, we reflect on Christ’s servant-hearted love. On this night, He humbly washed His disciples’ feet, instituted the Lord’s Supper, offering His true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins, and gave us a new commandment:

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” – John 13:34 (ESV)

As we enter the solemn moments of Holy Week, may we serve, love, and extend Christ’s grace to one another—just as He first loved us.
