In this world we sort out winners and losers, those who have exceeded or have fallen short. You have sent your own Son to the cross to remove the eternal loss of sin. By His death, through faith, we live in His eternal victory given freely to us. In Him, we win! Forever. Amen!

In our St. James neighborhood, we celebrated all the grandmas and grandpas with a special craft project—creating a colorful Grandparents Day sign for photos and memories. Thanks to our on-site Acorns & Oaks daycare and preschool, residents get to experience the love, laughter, and joy of being a grandparent every day. 🩵

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. Resident Linda felt her best after Life Enrichment Coordinator Sheryl braided her hair with care and kindness.

Jesus Loves You, and So Do I ✝️💜

At Perry Lutheran Homes, some of our most influential and faith-filled teachers aren’t found in classrooms — they are our residents. Their wisdom, love, and daily witness remind us of what truly matters.

Resident Lee, pictured here with her daughter Jolee, lives out her faith in a simple yet powerful way. Her favorite reminder to share is: “Jesus loves you, and so do I.”

What a beautiful truth for us all to carry into each day.

Fall Flavors, Fresh from the Oven! 🍂

In St. James Memory Care neighborhood, the sights, smells, and tastes of fall came alive as residents measured, mixed, poured, and proudly baked delicious pumpkin treats. For those living with dementia, baking engages the senses, sparks memories, and builds confidence.

Guiding the group was volunteer Rhonda, who previously served as a PLH culinary chef for many years. With her encouragement, residents proudly enjoyed their creations—though not many pumpkin treats lasted long out of the oven!
