📣Just a reminder that our Perry Office is hosting FREE sports physicals next Tuesday evening from 5:30pm-8:30pm.

📣Our Madison office will be hosting FREE Sports Physicals this evening.

📌UPDATE FOR EVENING OF FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS-
❗️Please be sure to bring the Sports Physical forms with you the evening of Tuesday 7/22/25 (5:30pm-8:30pm) with the parent/student portion complete. We will have the forms available at our office but that portion will need to be completed before the athlete is called back.
‼️We do ask that the parent/legal guardian bring their photo ID as well.

Calling all athletes 📣

Our Perry office will be offering FREE Sports Physicals the evening of Tuesday 7/22/25 from 5:30pm - 8:30pm.

You do NOT have to be an established LPP patient to receive this offer.
We do however require that each athlete be accompanied by their legal guardian.

Please help us spread the word. We look forward to helping support our student athletes!

🎉 Celebrating 16 Years of Pediatric Care in Perry, Florida! 🎉

We are proud to celebrate 16 years of serving the families of Perry and surrounding communities with compassionate, dedicated pediatric care. Thank you for trusting us with your children’s health over the years — it’s been our privilege to grow with you.

We are also excited to announce the return of Dr. Ron Emerick to our Perry office! Dr. Emerick will now be seeing patients 1-2 days each week beginning the end of this month, bringing his decades of experience and heartfelt commitment back to where it all began.

A little about Dr. Ron Emerick, D.O. 🌟
Pediatrician | Founder of Little Pine Pediatrics | Faith-Driven Family Man

Dr. Ron Emerick is a board-certified Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with a deep passion for pediatrics and a heart for serving families, he has devoted his life to pursuing his dream to bring high-quality, compassionate pediatric care to small-town communities.

He graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Biology and Psychology from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. Before beginning his medical career, he spent time in Boston, MA, working at a school for behaviorally challenged children—an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to understanding the whole child, not just their symptoms. While completing his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University, he was elected President of the Pediatric Club and received multiple prestigious university awards for his outstanding achievements and excellence in pediatrics. Dr. Emerick completed a three year pediatric residency at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville FL where he was named teaching resident of the year and has been named The Community Pediatrician of the year in Gainesville Fl by the University of Florida.

In July 2009, he followed his calling and opened the first Little Pine Pediatrics in Perry, Florida. What began as a single small-town practice, grounded in personalized care and faith-based values, has since grown into a trusted name in pediatric healthcare. Dr. Emerick has since expanded Little Pine Pediatrics with two additional locations in Madison and Alachua, Florida—reaching even more families in need of loving, attentive medical care for their children.

Dr. Emerick is not only a physician but also a devoted husband, proud father of two, and a Christian whose faith guides every aspect of his life and practice. Known for his approachable demeanor, clinical excellence, and genuine compassion, he strives to treat every child as he would his own—with patience, respect, and heart.
Through Little Pine Pediatrics, Dr. Emerick continues to build a legacy of trust, hope, and healing—one child, one family, and one community at a time.

Meet Nurse Practitioner, Danielle Hamrick - Our newest team member 🌟

Danielle Hamrick is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner who recently joined Little Pine Pediatrics, bringing over 15 years of experience in patient care to our team. A graduate of Valdosta State University, Danielle began her healthcare journey as a Registered Nurse, where she was recognized numerous times for her excellence—including honors such as Outstanding Nursing Student Achievement, Nurse of the Year, and multiple Employee recognition awards.

Known for her bubbly personality and compassionate spirit, Danielle is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Her approach is rooted in kindness, understanding, and a thorough knowledge of healthcare. Above all, Danielle treasures time with her family and views every patient encounter as an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. We are thrilled to welcome her to our practice and know she will be a source of warmth and wisdom for our families.

Meet Nurse Practitioner, Kailey Pickels 🩷

Kailey Pickels, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, high-quality care to children and families. She began her journey in healthcare in 2014 as a Registered Nurse, where she worked at Little Pine Pediatrics for two years gaining a deep love for pediatric care and experience. Driven by a passion to do more for her patients, Kailey went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of West Florida.

Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2021, Kailey has been recognized not only for her clinical expertise but also for her heartfelt approach to care. She is known for forming meaningful connections with her young patients, ensuring they feel safe, special, and truly heard. Her gentle demeanor, patience, and sincere commitment to wellness make her a trusted and beloved provider in our community.

Beyond her professional life, Kailey is a proud and devoted mother, bringing the same warmth and understanding she has at home into her clinical practice. Her story is one of dedication, compassion, and a lifelong commitment to making a difference—one patient at a time.
