Dr. Fialkov is wonderful and is helping patients in many ways.

He can refer care to our Outpatient Ambulatory Center where services, including Nuro, Rezum, and now even UroCuff testing are offered.

Dr. Fialkov can perform vasectomies.

He is also one of the only pediatric urologists in central Iowa.

2025 brought with it a lot of growth and positive changes, but the team's ability to stay focused and dedicated to providing High quality, personalized care accessible to all, has made it all manageable and helped us thrive. It's also resulted in receipt of these awards, plus a national award from Becker's Healthcare and being named a Frontline Worker Top Workplace.

It was an honor to be decorated with such distinguished awards this year, and we cannot wait to see what 2026 brings!

The following was received from a patient of Dr. Robert Smith, visiting nephrologist at DCH; However, the patient has been treated in multiple areas of the hospital. The comment demonstrates the conveniences of accessing primary care at a clinic connected to the hospital.

"I have always had positive experiences when visiting, whether it was for an appointment in the clinic, a visit to the lab or x-ray, or even an appointment with a specialist."

Even with our clinics in Panora and Dallas Center, team members regularly communicate and see one another, and some function in more than one site, which fosters a seamless flow of care when patients are referred to the hospital for a visiting specialist.

One of our newest additions in the DCH ER!

An emergency visit to the hospital often instills fear in a patient and their family. Thankfully, it is common to hear about patient experiences, like the below, at the DCH ER. Taking the extra step to make patients and families feel seen and heard is common practice for us and can make a world of difference.

Check out the latest example from Kylie Johnson, ARNP Hospitalist in the DCH ER, and the explanation for why a patient gave a high satisfaction rating.

"Because the people were kind and patient. I thought it was very thoughtful for Kylie to ask if I wanted her to call my daughter in Des Moines and give her a report. I assumed that would be left up to the person who brought me. My daughter was also impressed."

Happy Friday Eve from the phenomenal team at DCH Family Medicine Dallas Center!

A parent of a pediatric patient commented this week:

"After a few days of my child's cough not improving, I called the clinic on Tuesday morning to schedule an appointment with Sheri. Sheri was completely full, but Dr. Teresa Fuller was recently added and had acute appointments open. The receptionist, Hailey, was understanding and accommodating, so we could see Dr. Fuller that afternoon. We didn't even sit down before the wonderful nurse, Maria, greeted us. Dr. Fuller was excellent at engaging with my son and thorough in explaining the treatment and answering questions I had. You can't plan sickness, and there's a lot going around right now, so I'm thankful for the extra coverage Dallas Center had that day and for the great service."
