It is easy to get caught up in the “shiny”, “fancy”, and “new” ideas and trends.

However, it got us thinking about a saying we use as a team quite a bit.

Nail the basics.

For us, that means three things:

▶️Great coaching at every single interaction.

▶️Hold every member accountable to their goals and attendance.

▶️Continue to make sure everyone feels a part of the community so as to not lose the “family-like” feel.

That’s it.

Nail the basics.

Because you see, what happens, if you start to throw in too many moving pieces, too many new changes, too many shiny objects, it distracts you from the basics, and they start to fall.

We tell you all of this because it’s a good lesson for your life in general, especially fitness, now more than ever before.

Sometimes we take on too much, we try to do everything at once, and as a result, we see the main thing suffer.

You see that in relationships.

You see that in families.

You see that in work.

And you certainly see that in your health.

So, what are the basics of your health & fitness?

It could be three things like:

▶️Getting 12 workouts in per month

▶️Journaling your food at least 80% of the month

▶️Sleep at least 7 hours a night.

It can be fun to add a shiny object at the moment and talk about all the fancy things like cool new exercises, fancy fad diets to follow, or whatever the latest and greatest trend is today on social media, but the truth is the basics work.

Nail the basics. Consistently.

This week starts a new 4 week program for our small group training classes!

The benefit for you?

When you follow a program it simply provides better results!

We don’t just offer a bench of randomly chosen exercises for the workout that day.

You get a workout program designed and thought through by a team of coaches that have your best interests at heart.

You consistently get better. Move better, feel better, get stronger week to week and effectively build muscle + lose body fat more efficiently.

We create our workouts in 4 week time blocks.

It’s enough variety to keep things interesting and leave you always wanting to come back for more!

Week 1 - your body is learning new exercises and developing new mind muscle connections!

Week 2 - perfect it! Your body is now familiar with the new exercises, so this week work on adding weight or trying to hit the higher end of the rep ranges on strength days.

Week 3 - you got the technique down and now its time to possibly bump things up again. You should notice the intensity of the workout picks up a bit with all your new found strength 😉

Week 4 - this is the week where you can challenge yourself the most. Try for more reps, more weight, a more challenging body position and a more intense pace on a specific cardio machines.

Week 5 - New Class Cycle Begins!

You can jump into our group program at any point and our expert coaching team will help guide you on exactly where to start based on your goals and your body.

Starting April 1st, we’re upgrading our member platform from Mindbody to PushPress!

Get ready for:

📱 New App for easy class reservations, session booking, visit tracking & membership management

🗨️ In-App Community + Coach Chat (we’ll be phasing out our private Facebook group for a cleaner experience)

🌐 Enhanced Website Integration for simpler booking & connection

✅ Streamlined Check-In Process — coaches will manage attendance check-ins starting April 1.

While our team has been working hard behind the scenes for several weeks, you’ll begin seeing some minor changes roll out throughout March.

New Year Vibes! 🎉

What a night. We kicked off the New Year celebrating with some pretty incredible people. For the first time, members from both gyms were together, and it felt like exactly how this community should start the year. 💙

Coaching here isn’t just about workouts. It’s about showing up with you, seeing the effort you put in, and being part of the process day in and day out. This group brings consistency, support, and a lot of heart, and we’re grateful for that.

As we head into 2026, we’re thankful for every rep, every conversation, and every win big or small that we get to share with you. This place works because you show up for yourselves and for each other.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the night such a good one. A few familiar faces aren’t in the photo, but were very much part of the celebration. If you’re curious what a supportive fitness community can make possible, let’s talk.

Who: Friends/Family of our members (all fitness levels welcome)

What’s included:
Buddies can join up to 3 group workouts during the week for FREE!

Details:
Buddies must be accompanied by YOU for every session they attend.

Please arrive a few minutes early to sign a waiver.

This year Renegade Fitness is again a collection site for the 11th Annual McKenna’s Wishes Toy Drive! This incredible event supports the ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital and Nationwide Children’s Hospital - Toledo.

✨ How You Can Help:
While you’re out shopping this holiday season, consider picking up a new, unwrapped toy or stuffed animal to donate.

📍 Drop-Off Location:
Bring your donations to Renegade Fitness and place them by our Holiday Gym Tree anytime between now and December 12th.
