When people ask, “What do you do?” I respond simply,”I am a counselor.” There are no adequate words to sum up what I experience in a day. There is so much hurt in this world, and a tiny portion finds its way onto my schedule. I am thankful God allows me to be a part of the release of long-held-in words, tough decisions, tearful clean ups, patient mendings, transformed lives, and exuberant celebrations. I am thankful for the certainty of God’s Calling and the gift of Equipping. I am thanful I can hold tightly to His hand as I step into each day knowing, “I am a counselor.”
