This will be my longest and my last post on the PCNC FB page.

I have resigned my position at PCNC as Social Director. I enjoyed reinventing this page and will treasure all the memories shared on it.
I have spent 12.5 years at PCNC and after many, many prayers - I feel it is time to move on. I will never forget my time here and i will hold this facility close in my heart.

I could write a book about my adventures in the Nursing Home. I have learned so much through the years. I would not trade my time here for all the money in the world.

I have met some truly amazing people - families, residents and co-workers. I have experienced every emotion there is during my time here and I have cried more tears than I can count. I had patients and family members who challenged me and tested my patience. I met some who were truly miserable and hated the whole world. But I have also met some who were the kindest, most genuine people. I have met people who were dirt poor and some who had more money than I will ever see. I have cheered and celebrated with people who got to go home after rehab. But I also had many days of comforting family members as they lost their loved ones. I have been honored to even be the one holding hands as some have passed into Heaven. 🩷

One thing that I can honestly say is that every one of those people taught me something and left a little knowledge, love or memories with me when they left the facility.

Lastly, I need to acknowledge the people that I work with at PCNC. I could not have made it through so many of my own personal losses without my coworkers (family). I have an amazing group of friends that I will miss more than i can put into words. I am not saying goodbye because I know I will be seeing you all soon. Thank you for all the therapy and love! I will miss you girls so very much!

To say our hearts are broken is an understatement. Brooks was one of a kind and he will never be forgotten.
Brooks loved his people and would always check on you with "you good girl?" "You hungry?" and would laugh and laugh when you told him you were tired or broke. He loved teasing people with a poke in the belly or kidding the guys about being bald - even if they weren't.
Brooks was a huge Elvis fan and if you weren't a fan before then Brooks helped turn you into one. His karaoke rendentions are legendary! We will all think of him whenever we hear an Elvis song. Words cannot not express our sadness with Brook's passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

On a personal note - I have known Brooks for many years before he came to PCNC and i am forever grateful for having him in my life and the lessons he taught me - Mandy

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night" keeps us from caring for our residents!

Thank you to our dedicated Healthcare Heroes who came, spent the night, or slid in to care for our elders!

The phones are going in and out at the facility. We are answering but just getting hang ups!
We have called and reported the problem. It seems to be sporatic! So keep trying! If there is an emergency - we will use employee cell phones if needed!
