Sherry is the mom you see in the stands at every single sporting event for her kids. Rain or shine, home or away, she is there. This year, however, Sherry wasn't sure if she would be able to make it to any of her daughter's softball games due to her health. We couldn't let that happen. We think Sherry says it best herself:
"BEST DAY EVER! Blair Ridge is such a wonderful place to be. Jayne (DHS) and the staff knew I have been pretty blue about all that is happening in my life. I sorely miss not seeing my daughter Brooke play softball. I rarely miss a game whether it be home or away, for any sport, for either girl. So Blair Ridge made it happen that I could attend a game tonight. Deb was willing to drive us on the facility bus to the game as I am not able to get in and out of a car yet. We surprised the girls, Brooke shed a tear then played a competitive game against Jayne's daughter, Lindsey. They used to play travel ball together - and they each caught two pop flies on each other! My daughter's team ended up winning 8 to 7. I have some work to get done so I can come home and be able to care for myself, but this was the best day of my life."
Lots of happy tears were shed as a result of this simple dream come true. We truly believe it meant just as much to us as it did to Sherry and her family. That's our "why." Why we do what we do. Why the Live A Dream program is so impactful. Why Blair Ridge and other Trilogy campuses stand out among the rest. Thank you for letting us make this dream come true for you, Sherry. We wish you continued health and healing so you can get back in the stands soon. 🫶🏼
