Southern Grace Senior Home Care will be doing walk in interviews for Caregivers/PCA’s this coming Tuesday and Wednesday May 12th and 13th from 10am to 4pm. You can come to our office at 117 North Main Street in scrubs or professional attire, you’ll be asked to fill out an application and will be interviewed. Selected candidates will be offered positions and scheduled for orientation and onboarding (pending results of background check).

We offer competitive, experience based pay, benefits after 90 days, we have full time availability, and we have no cap on allowable overtime (allowing you to work time and a half if you request).

We currently have a wide range of hours available, with new patients coming in weekly. We also operate in a wide area, Forrest, Lamar, Marion, Jones, and Perry counties just to name a few! So, if you looking for a job, want a change from your current situation, or are looking to re-enter the work force, this is a great opportunity to begin caring for others, and in very little time!

WALK IN INTERVIEWS! Our last round was a huge success so we are excited to be doing it again. THIS Thursday, February 5th from 9am to 5pm we will be doing walk in interviews at 117 North Main St. Petal Ms. All you need is to come dressed in either business casual or scrubs, and bring a resume or be prepared to fill out an application. That’s it. You’ll be interviewed and if we feel you are a good fit, you will immediately move forward with our process (including background checks, onboarding, etc).

Whether you are a home care veteran or someone aspiring to get their first start in the industry this is your chance to join THE premier home care team in the pine belt.

We are so proud of our winner Heather Leigh Dukes who won Best Healthcare Secretary at the Pine Belt’s Healthcare Heroes awards. We were honored to have two finalists in Shawn Elkins and Heather but are extremely grateful and humbled to have walked away with a winner. Very well deserved.

We also had a great night at the event. Beautifully decorated, good food, and fellowship with one another (which may have included some goofy dancing spurred on by a dare from Bryant to Shawn Elkins).

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! As Southern Grace continues to grow at a rapid rate, our need for reliable, professional, compassionate staff has grown as well. So, starting January 14th, we will be doing walk in interviews every Wednesday from 9am to 5pm. All you need is to arrive in scrubs, closed toes shoes, and have a resume or be prepared to fill out an application. We have TWO FINALISTS. In the healthcare heroes voting done by Signature Magazine, our Executive Director Shawn Elkins is a finalist for Best Healthcare Administrator and Executive Assistant Dukes as Best Healthcare Secretary! So, we had a little video made asking for your vote. We will post the links to each of their pages in the comments below. All you have to do is go to their page and vote and enter and email. We truly had a great time participating in the Petal Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade for the City of Petal - Government. We were able to get all of our owners, our office staff, and even some of our outstanding caregivers involved. And of course, your friendly neighbor grandmas ( Shawn Elkins and Hallie Berteau had to make their appearance! Now it may have been a whole lot colder than we would have preferred (especially those of us in gowns but it was still a ton of fun.

Don’t forget tonight! We have our kick off event celebrating Petal’s recognition as a dementia friendly community. It’s at the Petal Senior Center and it’s come and go from 4:30 to 6:30. Come by, fellowship, enjoy some free food, and learn about the resources we will be able to make available for this living with dementia and resources for those caring for them. We hope to see you there!
