Numbness, tingling, or a burning sensation in the hands or feet is often linked to neuropathy. Many people with peripheral, diabetic, or chemo-related neuropathy are told that medication is the only option.

Koda Physical Therapy uses Stimpod, an advanced neuromodulation technology, as one tool to support nerve health. By delivering targeted electrical stimulation to specific nerves, clinicians aim to influence nerve signaling while also focusing on movement, strength, and education.

Stimpod sessions are non-invasive and can be part of a broader plan designed to help people feel more confident staying active.

Community members who are curious about neuropathy and Stimpod are welcome to call, email, send a message, or stop by Koda Physical Therapy to inquire about discovery visits and learn more.

FSA or HSA dollars often feel like “use it or lose it” money - but many people do not realize that personal training at a physical therapy clinic may qualify when supported by a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN).

An LMN is written by a licensed medical provider and explains why guided exercise is recommended for a specific diagnosis or movement limitation.

Common steps people take:• Ask a physician or other medical provider whether structured personal training could support strength, mobility, or recovery goals.• If appropriate, the provider may write an LMN that lists the service, frequency, and purpose.• Receipts and the LMN are then submitted to the FSA/HSA administrator for review.

Plan rules are different for everyone, so it is important to confirm coverage details with the benefits administrator.

A new year often means fresh goals for moving more, but many HSA and FSA dollars quietly reset if they are not used.

A lot of HSA/FSA plans allow funds to go toward qualified services such as physical therapy when recommended by a licensed provider. That may include evaluation visits, guided exercise, and technology-supported options like shockwave therapy, when covered by a plan.

This can be a helpful time of year to review benefits, map out upcoming care needs, and ask questions.

Koda Physical Therapy focuses on science-based movement care for everyday life, sports, and recovery.

Community is encouraged to share this post with anyone managing an HSA or FSA and to contact the clinic team with questions.
