This Thursday and Important Community Event is taking place!

Join Dr. John Shribbs, PhD, for an engaging conversation on Petaluma’s General Plan and how it shapes our city’s future. He will explore how a thriving city—like a flourishing person—depends on meeting basic needs first, such as safety, housing, and community connection.

We’ll learn how the General Plan guides decisions about land use, housing, climate resilience, transportation, and public spaces, including priorities like expanded parks, climate preparedness, and housing near transit. Join us to gain a deeper understanding of Petaluma’s future and explore ways residents can stay involved in shaping it.

Registration for this event is required. Please call the Village office at 776-6055, or email info@villagenetworkofpetaluma.org

Today we wrap up our "Power 9 Series", where we've spent the last nine week's highlighting a simple yet powerful lifestyle habit you can implement into your day to live a healthy, long life. Today's habit is Positive Pack!🙌

The world's longest living people chose - or were born into - social circles that supported healthy behaviors. Okinawans created "moais," or small friend groups that committed to each other for life.

Research from the Framingham Studies shows that everything from smoking, to happiness, to loneliness are all contagious. That's why having a Positive Pack surrounding you is so important.

How can you tighten your positive pack, to support your health, happiness, and longevity? 🤔

As the year is winding down, this week's "Power 9 Series" feature is spotlighting the concept of Loved Ones First. 💙

Successful centenarians in the Blue Zones put Loved Ones First. This might mean keeping aging parents and grandparents nearby (or in the home) when possible. They commit to a life partner (which can add up to 3 years of life expectancy), and invest in children with time and love. 👶

What is one way you will spend time with your family (or chosen family) this week? Share with us in the comments! 💟
