Say hello to Hazel, a beautiful 7-year-old Black & Tan mix weighing 48 lbs. She’s spayed, sweet-natured, and has come such a long way since being rescued from the shelter. Once shy, Hazel has blossomed into a joyful, youthful pup who just loves life.

Hazel is potty trained, adores attention, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. With her gentle and loving heart, she’s ready to bring warmth, companionship, and loyalty to a family who will cherish her.

For all who loved, prayed, donated, messaged and more I am very sorry to post that Banner died today as a result of his distemper. He fought a hard fight but his young body was no match. Thank you to his beautiful and loving foster/adopted mom, Dana Brod, for giving him such great care and love and the best fighting chance he possibly had. In the short time we had Banner, he was so loved, from Bayley ELENZWEIG’s, myself, and Dana and all who was following his plight.

Hazel is Searching for Her Forever Home 💛

Meet Hazel, a sweet 7-year-old Black & Tan German Shepherd weighing 48 lbs. She is spayed and full of love, ready to find a family who will cherish her as much as she will cherish them.

Hazel was originally an owned and micro-chipped pet, but went missing 6 years ago. The shelter she originally ended up at was able contact these owners — who said they had stopped looking for her and moved across country in the 6 years since she had gone missing. We don’t know what happened to Hazel in those 6 years, but she seems to have had puppies at one point. She ended up on the shelter euthanasia list, at which point we rescued her.

Gentle and affectionate, Hazel is patiently waiting for her forever home. Hazel is calm and loving, a devoted companion who will bring joy, cuddles, and loyalty to the right family. Hazel is very dog friendly and kid friendly as well. She eill continue to come out of her shell as she feels safe.
