Now that the smoke has cleared we can appreciate the transitioning of the Sonomaroma from essence of dairy to scent of ma*****na. Oh, the olfactory challenges we endure living in Sonoma County. Ma*****na has many effects on the eyes. The THC component causes the blood vessels to dilate which lowers the eye pressure, the blood pressure and visual processing. We have resumed routine eyecare, contact lens appointments and optical services. Medical care will continue for emergencies and we plan to begin seeing patients for dry eye treatments sometime in June. Is it safe to wear contact lenses during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Yes, as long as you follow proper wear and care instructions:
Always wash and dry your hands before inserting and removing lenses
Regularly disinfect contacts (or throw away daily use lenses)
Discontinue lens wear if you are sick
