This fair is something near and dear to our hearts. This is where I, Jeremy, was born and raised. This is the first Napa fair we hadn't been to since I could remember.

When I got the call that our homebred ewe won the breeding show and one of our wethers was 5th overall - I was ecstatic to say the least. If you told me 5 years ago that I would raise sheep and being fully involved with this industry, I wouldn't believe you. This has been multiple years in the making and we couldn't be more pleased and thankful of all that has happened!

This guy was a triplet and the FIRST wether that Soaring S sold publicly!

If you’ve been following PBCL for awhile, you would remember that the lovely Miss Hayley Byrd started showing PBCL lambs AWHILE ago.

In 2018, our buddy Matt Perkins gave us a call, letting us know a young lady by the name of Hayley Byrd needed a ewe lamb to show…The first ewe lamb we gave her to show, happened to be the GRAND DAM of the wether she won with this past week.

We aren’t sure many can say they exhibited a wether that won at a BIG stage…that also exhibited the wethers DAM, AND GRAND DAM.

Full circle would be an understatement. We are so proud and so thankful to all involved.

Congratulations Hayley Byrd, we couldn’t think of a harder working kid that deserves it.
