Let’s be real: birth can be unpredictable, and plans might change. But your Doula is there with you through it all. That’s why it’s so important to build a team of providers you trust, feel comfortable asking weird questions to, and who will keep you sane when things get... interesting. 💛

When you join a Bumping Along group, you have a chance to connect and build a community with other people going through the same experience you are. We chat, take a walk, and generally laugh about the beauty and ridiculousness of what it takes to grow a human. All with a certified Doula present, so you can ask your questions without judgement.

Dilation gets all the attention. But really it's just one of many measures your birth team will use to see where baby is and how you're doing. It also informs us on what to do next like resting, drinking water, changing positions, etc.

It's official! I'm now a Certified Birth Doula with DONA International.

I can't believe it was only a year ago that I finished my in-person training with DONA. It's such an honor and privilege to do this work, and I'm excited to keep helping people out. Only now with an official name badge :)

This is actually my second certification, though my services will not change. With DONA, doors open so I can serve more patients as employers and insurers begin to cover Doula services.
