This is a graphite sketch I did and am calling Love’s Perspective.
The naming of each one is a fun introspective process of sifting and sorting through noise and listening to its essence.
It’s not different than animal communication.
Naming calls things into being.
I listen to lots of non verbal instrumental music to understand the relationship sound makes between instruments. They always create images and pictures in my mind’s eye.
This is similar to listening to the intersection between a dog’s body and their preferences for another dog friend, their favorite food or their human pack mates.
We all make music together, discordant or harmonic.
In drawing this giraffe, I was curious about Love’s perspective at a great vantage point, above the squalor and realized that Love has many names including honesty , accountability and listening.
I’m hoping that in naming this piece, I call this into being and include it , especially in my words because we are one of the only species that have that gift and privilege.
