Low milk supply concerns are common—and they deserve thoughtful, individualized support.
If you’re worried about your baby’s intake, noticing changes in pumping output, or feeling unsure about what’s normal, you are not alone. Many factors can influence milk production, and most are addressable with the right guidance.
An IBCLC can help assess: • Milk transfer at the breast
• Pump fit and effectiveness
• Feeding patterns and frequency
• Infant growth and diaper output
• Underlying contributors to supply concerns
You don’t have to troubleshoot this on your own. Support early can make a meaningful difference for both you and your baby.

🤯 Breastfeeding or pumping… or both?
If you’re staring at your pump while your baby is nursing and thinking “Am I doing this right?” — you’re not alone.

✨ You don’t have to choose between breastfeeding or pumping.
✨ You don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
✨ And feeding your baby should NOT feel this confusing or stressful.

As an IBCLC, I help you:
✔️ Create a feeding plan that actually fits your life
✔️ Improve latch, comfort, and milk transfer
✔️ Learn when & how to pump without hurting supply
✔️ Feel confident instead of overwhelmed

If feeding feels hard, it’s time for support — not more Googling.
💜 Let’s make feeding calmer, clearer, and more confident.

What an IBCLC Actually Does (Because Google is Confusing!)

An IBCLC is not JUST for breastfeeding problems

An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (Yea it’s a little long!) provides the following:

* Individualized feeding plans
* Pain-free latch support
* Pumping and return-to-work guidance
* Evidence-based care (not trends)
* Emotional reassurance
* NICU transition home
* Bottle refusal or issues taking the bottle
* Low percentiles

This is something new parents and parents with multiple children need. Especially if things aren’t going as planned! DM our page to book or visit

You don’t have to do this alone. 💜

Breastfeeding is natural—but it isn’t always easy. Research shows that mothers who receive support from an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) are more likely to meet their feeding goals and feel confident along the way.

Pain, latch concerns, supply worries, or uncertainty are not signs of failure—they’re signs that your body and baby deserve individualized, evidence-based care.

Support changes outcomes.
Confidence changes everything.

If feeding feels overwhelming, help is available—and you are worthy of support.

✨ Hand Pumps & Engorgement Relief ✨

Breast engorgement can feel uncomfortable, tight, and even painful—especially in the early days of breastfeeding or when feeds are delayed. A hand breast pump can be a gentle, effective tool to help manage engorgement without overstimulating milk supply.

Using a hand pump allows you to express just enough milk to soften the breast, reduce pressure, and make it easier for your baby to latch comfortably. Because you control the suction and pace, it’s ideal for quick relief, targeting one breast, or expressing a small amount before a feed. Hand pumps are also quiet, portable, and easy to use—making them a great option during night feeds or on the go.

Remember, the goal during engorgement is comfort and support, not emptying the breast. If engorgement is persistent or paired with pain, redness, or fever, reaching out to an IBCLC can help prevent complications and keep breastfeeding comfortable for both you and your baby 🤍

✨ Look at James here… isn’t he the cutest? ✨
His mom has been working so hard to support his growth while breastfeeding, and I’m so proud of her dedication. 💕

After noticing he needed a little extra support, we introduced some supplemental bottles with formula—and today Mom reached out to share how HAPPY and excited James has been since making that change! 🍼💙

Every baby’s feeding journey is unique. What matters most is a fed, thriving, happy baby—and a supported, confident parent. 💛

You’re doing amazing, Mama. 💕

Mastitis can come out of nowhere — one minute you’re feeding normally, and the next you’re dealing with pain, swelling, chills, or that “something isn’t right” feeling. The good news?
Many cases can be prevented with the right support and a feeding plan that actually works for your body. 💜

Here are a few ways to lower your risk:
💜 Keep milk flowing comfortably — avoid long stretches between feeds/pumps
💜 Make sure baby’s latch is effective (pain is information!)
💜 Switch up positions to drain different parts of the breast
💜 Respond early to fullness, tenderness, or plugged-duct sensations
💜 Avoid aggressive breast massage — gentle is always better
💜 Support your nervous system (stress impacts milk flow more than people realize!)

If you’re unsure whether what you’re feeling is normal — or you just want guidance that brings peace instead of panic — an IBCLC can help.

✨ Book a lactation consultation with Embracing Lactation LLC to stay ahead of issues and keep your breastfeeding journey as comfortable and supported as possible.

💜 You don’t have to wait until it becomes painful — prevention is powerful.
