Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting two special guests: Kenadie Houchins, the reigning Miss Northern States Indiana Teen, and Naomi Boyd, the reigning Miss Northern States Indiana Pr***en. It is cool that these local gals share a close bond of friendship and this title together. Our residents had the opportunity to engage with them in a question-and-answer session, during which they demonstrated exceptional poise and knowledge about their pageant experiences. These two young individuals are working together towards their goals, all while striving to secure college scholarships through their pageant participation. Both Kenadie and Naomi have established their own platforms: Naomi is currently fundraising for a local animal shelter, while Kenadie is raising funds to support children with medical needs. They are both exceptional young women who display beauty, intelligence, compassion, and are bursting with personality. They are both sure to be leaders in the future.
We suggested that they would be ideal advocates for a senior pageant catering to individuals aged 75 and above. Why not? We are proud to have among us a 1947 homecoming queen, Virginia Polen and a 1956 Miss Pike County, Mary Ashby or better known to all as Mousie. Despite the passage of time, all of our ladies and gentlemen remain beautiful inside and out and we think they win everyday!
