We never want to stop learning, growing, and sharpening the way we serve families at PFC.

That’s one reason we love resources like The Experience Miracles™ Podcast with Dr. Tony Ebel. PX Docs describes it as a place to give parents “hope, answers, and drug-free help” while exploring pediatric health, resilience, and healing, with stories from parents and insights from experts.

We believe in progress over perfection — in parenting, in health, and in the work we do as a team.

If you’re someone who wants to keep learning right alongside us, this is a great resource to check out.

Every child is different.
And that means care should never be one-size-fits-all.

Some little ones sit still. Some need to wiggle. Some want to play, snuggle, explore, or stay close to a sibling while they get adjusted.

And that’s okay.

At Petersburg Family Chiropractic, we truly want to meet our patients where they are. There is no shame here. No judgment. No expectation that your child has to fit into a perfect mold before they can be cared for.

We understand that every child is unique, and we do our best to engage them in ways that help them feel safe, comfortable, and supported.

For the parents who feel worn out…
For the ones who have tried so many things…
For the ones who know deep down that their child needs something more…

We want you to know there is hope.

Sometimes the best care starts with simply having a team that sees your child, understands that progress can look different for every family, and is willing to walk with you patiently.

We care deeply about these kids, and it is an honor to support them in the way that works best for them.

What a beautiful Sunday here in Petersburg.

Days like this have a way of slowing us down just enough to notice the goodness of God a little more clearly.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
— John 10:10, KJV

Jesus did not come so we would merely endure life.
He came so we could know the fullness of life found in Him — life marked by peace, hope, purpose, and grace.

Today is a good day to pause, breathe deeply, and thank the Lord for His kindness.

May your Sunday be filled with stillness, gratitude, and the quiet reminder that true life is found in Christ.

We’ve been loving all the creativity coming through our coloring contest lately 🎨

These three turned in their masterpieces and got to pick out a prize from the toy basket — well earned! 👏

It’s always fun seeing the personalities (and artistic skills!) of our youngest patients come to life.

Don’t forget — voting is still open, and we’ll be announcing a winner at the end of the month!

Did you know your child’s symptoms are often the last sign that their body has been under stress?

Many families are told everything looks “normal,” yet their child still struggles with sleep, behavior, digestion, focus, or immune challenges.

That’s because most tests don’t measure the system that controls everything in the body — the nervous system.

In this short video, Dr. Mike explains why understanding nervous system function is so important for helping kids truly heal and thrive.

When the nervous system begins to regulate, the body can start doing what it was designed to do: adapt, grow, and heal.

You know that feeling when you’re told “Everything looks normal,” but deep down you know something still isn’t right with your child? 😭

Maybe it’s restless sleep… digestion that’s always off… big emotions… constant stress… or a body that just can’t seem to relax.

Most pediatrician visits focus on growth charts and milestones.
Important, yes.

But they don’t actually measure the system that runs everything: your child’s nervous system.

Think of it like air traffic control for the body.
When the nervous system is overwhelmed or stuck in stress mode, things like digestion, immunity, behavior, sleep, and development can all struggle — even when tests look “fine.”

That’s where Neurological INSiGHT Scans come in. 📊

These scans don’t look for disease.
Instead, they gently show us how your child’s nervous system is functioning, where stress may be stuck, and why progress can feel slow even when you’re doing all the right things.

For many families, this is the missing piece that finally helps them understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Most people think health problems start when symptoms appear.

But what if the body was already under stress long before the symptoms showed up?

In this week’s Lighthouse Focus, Dr. Mike explains why understanding the nervous system is key to understanding true health.

Our bodies are incredibly intelligent, but when the nervous system becomes overwhelmed or dysregulated, it can start to show up in ways many families don’t expect.

That’s why we focus on helping the nervous system regulate, adapt, and function the way it was designed to.

Watch this week’s video to learn more about how nervous system–focused care helps families move from simply managing symptoms to supporting true health and healing.

⭐ Patient of the Month: Evie! ⭐

Evie has been such a joy to have in our office, and we’re so proud of the progress she’s been making.

Her goals when starting care focused on:
• Overall wellness
• Immune health
• Emotional and nervous system balance
• Preventative wellness

And we’ve already seen some beautiful wins.

Mom shared that Evie has had fewer outbursts, is calming down better in the evenings, sleeping better, and her immune system is doing well. Even better — she’s becoming more easygoing and regulated.

Watching kids grow stronger, calmer, and healthier through nervous system–focused care is one of the greatest parts of what we do.

Help us celebrate Evie in the comments! 👏

Most healthcare focuses on symptoms.

If the symptoms fade, it feels like the problem is solved.

But here’s the challenge…
Symptoms are often the last thing to show up — and the last thing to resolve.

That’s why we use Neurological INSiGHT Scans.

These scans allow us to look beneath the surface and understand what’s happening in your child’s nervous system by measuring things like:

• Autonomic nervous system balance
• Neuro-spinal tone
• Sensory and motor regulation

What we often see is encouraging.

As the nervous system begins to shift toward better balance, those improvements can show up in the scans weeks — or even months — before symptoms noticeably change.

Healing isn’t always instant.
Sometimes the nervous system needs time to reorganize patterns that have been in place for months or even years.

Understanding those patterns helps us guide care more precisely and support your child’s nervous system as it learns to regulate and heal.

Some of the best moments in our office don’t happen on the adjustment table.

They happen in the smiles, the giggles, and the little conversations with our youngest patients.

Getting to care for families is already an incredible calling… but there’s something extra special about the sweet personalities of the littlest ones who walk through our doors. Their curiosity, their energy, and those big smiles remind us every day why we do what we do.

These kids grow up in our office. We get to celebrate milestones with them, watch their confidence grow, and support their health along the way.

Our patients truly are what make us Petersburg FAMILY Chiropractic.

And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We love watching kids grow up in our office. How long has your family been part of the PFC family?

⭐ Patient Spotlight: Kobe ⭐

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Kobe!

Kobe originally came to Petersburg Family Chiropractic dealing with neck and back pain along with poor posture. Since starting care, he’s noticed some great changes — especially better posture and overall wellness.

When asked what he likes most about getting adjusted, Kobe kept it simple: the relief.

A few fun things about Kobe:

💜 Favorite chiropractic word: Healthy
🛠 Favorite adjustment: Side-lying adjustment
📍 Favorite local place: New Salem State Park
📚 Hidden talent: He’s a big history fan
🍽 Favorite family activity: Dinner together
🍦 Favorite dessert: Ice cream cake
🌸 Favorite season: Spring
🏖 Beach or mountains: Beach

If Kobe could live in any time period, he says he’d choose the Wild West — and if given the choice between the future or the past, he’d head back in time.

We love having Kobe as part of the PFC family and are grateful to be part of his health journey!
