She was blessed with four wonderful sons, Paul Michael Survello, John Scott Survello, Patrick Keith Survello, and Mark Wesley Survello; grandchildren, Ashlea Marie Survello, Alayna Marie Survello, Katie Lynn Survello, Sarah Caroline Survello, Kizmit Bleau Survello, Andrew Michael Survello, and Matthew James Wilson; and great-grandson, Tyler Wilson.

She also had a half-brother, Tony Arthur Pritchett, and half-sister, Mary Michele Pritchett. Raleigh Headquarters as Secretary for Director of Interpretation and Visitor Services on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina that she dearly loved. She completed her employment days with Chesterfield County, Department of General Services, Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Division.

During her lifetime, Kay enjoyed bird watching, cooking special dishes for her sons (especially Old Towne pound cakes at Christmas), playing the piano, gardening, time with her different pets, yard sales and thrift shops, and visits to Manteo-Outer Banks, but the best time for her was having family gatherings. In the 1960s and early 1970s, she won multiple ribbons for baking cakes, breads, and cookies at the Southside Virginia Fair. She also co-authored "Cooking Memories" with her twin sister, Fay Godwin, wrote and published several poems and articles, and authored "Petersburg, Remembering", and "The History of Our Family" for her family and friends. The Lord blessed Kay throughout her life and was her strength and salvation in all situations and events. Thank You, Lord.

Hobert Lee Rowe

The world is a little less bright as we announce that Hobert Lee Rowe of Hopewell, Virginia passed peacefully on April 24, 2026, joining his beloved family in heaven.

Hobert was born to Adam and Myrtle Rowe and was a cherished brother to Gene Olen, Hazel, Birdie, Betty, and Phyllis. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Angie Lea and Maria Lynn, and shared 33 loving years with his companion, Pearl. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr., Alex, Joseph Lee, Bug/Lil Bit, Jordan, and Aaliyah; and two great-grandchildren, Khloe and J.D., all of whom brought him immense joy. He is also lovingly remembered by his son-in-law, Jeffrey Edwards, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Music was the thread that wove through every part of Hobert's life. A gifted singer and accomplished guitarist, he not only played music - he lived it. He built beautiful, handcrafted guitars and generously shared his talents by teaching others to play and even to build their own instruments. Through his patience and encouragement, he inspired countless people, many of whom continue to carry his music forward. Though he performed in many places and with various bands, his favorite audience was always found in local nursing homes, where he brought comfort and joy through song. Hobert was home-schooled and later worked at John Randolph Hospital, where he was known for his steady presence and kind spirit.

A celebration of Hobert's life will be held at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, with visitation beginning at 11:00am, followed immediately by the service. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved Momma at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.

To know Hobert was to love him. He lived with a spirit of optimism, perseverance, and genuine kindness that touched everyone he met. He had a way of bringing people together - like harmony in a song - showing us that life is most beautiful when shared with love and compassion.

Though his earthly song has come to an end, the melody he created lives on in all of us. His love, his lessons, and his music will continue to guide us, a light that will never fade.

Lyndon Nelson David

Lyndon Nelson David, 43, passed away on April 14, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Trinidad and Tobago on January 4, 1983, and migrated to the United States in 1993 at the age of 10. He later made his home in Chesterfield, Virginia. Lyndon graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and went on to further his education at Old Dominion University. After graduating, he built a career as an engineer with the City of Richmond.

Outside of his work, he had a deep love for cars and took great pride in maintaining his yard. He had a natural ability to fix just about anything, a skill that reflected both his intelligence and his willingness to help others. He was a dedicated father who loved coaching his children's soccer teams and was never shy about engaging with neighborhood kids, always making a lasting impression on those around him.

He will be remembered for his strength, his steady spirit, and the way he carried himself through life. If you ever asked, "Are you okay?" his response was always, "If I'm not, I'm gone be." Even in his fight with cancer, he showed resilience and determination, truly fighting a good fight.

Jonathan Craig Harrison

With heavy hearts sustained by God's grace, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin, Jonathan Craig Harrison, who entered eternal peace with Jesus on April 20, 2026 at the age of 42.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry Clay, Jr. and Mary Clay; his brother, Lee; his nephew, Brennan; and his cousin, Emily.

He leaves behind his mother, Susan Little; his stepfather, Chuck Little; his sister, Marianne Barnett (Mike); his brother, Daniel Wingler (Brittany); his sister-in-law, Leann Harrison; his stepsisters, Jennifer Hollis and Elizabeth Little; and his stepbrother, Joel Little (Britney). He is also survived by beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who were like family.

Jonathan was born on January 15, 1984 and was dearly loved and cherished. He was truly a gift to everyone who knew him. His name, Jonathan, means "given of God," and that's exactly who he was. You didn't have to be around him long to see it. He had a way of bringing a quiet kind of joy that stayed with you.

Jonathan lived with Down syndrome, but that never defined him. What defined him was how he lived, with a full heart, a steady spirit, and a simple, genuine happiness. He didn't complain - not about the big things, not about the small things. He just took life as it came and found joy in it.

He loved the things that made him happy: Cookout chocolate milkshakes, watching cartoons, enjoying Hallmark and Bible movies, playing UNO, going to visit Sight and Sound, twirling ribbon, and keeping his baby stuffed animals close.

Jonathan was deeply committed to his faith in Christ as Savior, and he loved going to church. He looked forward to it all week long and it wasn't something he had to be reminded about. It was something he was ready for. His clothes were laid out the night before, so he was prepared and always looked his best. He would always have his offering of one-dollar bills prepared long before service even began, excited and ready to give, and if there were two services in a day, he had two envelopes prepared. His faith and consistency spoke in ways that words cannot.

He also loved music, especially the old hymns. "Amazing Grace" and "It Is Well With My Soul" were the two most popular. Whatever song he was listening to became a favorite. These weren't just songs he liked. They were genuinely a part of who he was. There was a quiet peace in him that matched those songs, especially when he was faced with personal illness and grief. Jonathan didn't live a loud life, but he lived a meaningful one. He showed, in the simplest ways, what it looks like to be content, to be faithful, and to love without limits where everyone was his favorite.

He will be deeply missed by his family and by anyone who had the opportunity to know him. There's an emptiness left behind that only God can fill, because people like Jonathan don't come around often. But there's also comfort in knowing this: his life was full, his joy was real, and he was exactly who God made him to be: a true gift from God. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 10 AM at Trinity Community Methodist Church, 4814 Courthouse Rd. Church Road, VA 23833. Interment will follow in the church cemetery after.
